The poor guy never had a chance, I mean just wow. He commited suicide at age 38 on May 4th 2004. Old story but this documentary explains the twists and turns about it.

Not watching the video at school, but is that the same case where the twins were going in for that and the one was done the right way and the other they used acid on or something? |

I read the entire thing. The kid's life is a tragic. I'm sorry but i'm going to have to side with the boy's on what they said the doctor made them put up with. Its all really sad and upsetting. Its upsetting the kid had to put up with some much bull shit. I can't lol , I'm like so retarded over protective, if i saw my kids or my friends kids get made fun of in school or whatever, I'd so punch the other kids in the face its not even funny. AHgh this shit is so upsetting. I feel so bad for that kid. Its not even pity, its honest to god I wish i could do soemthing to help him kind of thing. |

Personally I don't think that raising someone whose penis was burnt off as a girl as a psychological experiment is THAT bad of a thing to do. The results are pretty conclusive as well. |

Wow... just wow From a scientific viewpoint: I gotta say, completely fascinating and ground-breaking. The knowledge gained was indeed massive, but Dr. Money shouldn't have let his desire for this scientific theory to be true take precedence over the actual evidence, which was clearly obvious it was a failure. From an ethical standpoint: Completely and horribly outrageous that such an experiment would be allowed to go so far. Granted, the technologies and ethical views of the 60's are different from what we have today, but it still should have never happened. I'm shocked the parents agreed to raise their child as a girl. No matter how good their intent was, I'm amazed they were still able to justify it to themselves. It's a shame the twins never had the courage to speak up about what Dr. Money was doing until they reached adulthood. Dr. Money was completely out of line in the interviews, especially the one that they pieced together from the reports of the twins, assuming it was indeed true, and honestly, I think it was true. And from my evil side: I couldn't help but laugh at the "this is a story of a boy whose penis was burnt off" and "I thought they were going to use a knife" as previous postered have mentioned. Comedic gold Compelling ending to the documentary though, and a shame that one mans desire for scientific glory had such tragic results. |

this is sad edit: watched the whole thing while WoW's servers are down lol Yeah its really sad that he had to go through that. trying to change someone's gender would definitly fuck somoene up mentally. It would of been better just to let him be a boy, just without a penis. it would suck but atleast he wouldnt have had to live through his brain being washed and fucked up by that doctor who tried to make him be a girl its the same type of thing when those crazy christian groups try to brainwash gay people into being straight, it fucks up your mind and produces a high suicide rate it was so sad at the end of the video when the guy said " will it take someone shooting themselves in the head commiting suicide to get people to listen?
