hey guys , I just recently bought an iPod and I'm having a bit of trouble figuring something out... Whenever I plug my iPod into the usb cable to charge/add music whatever it automatically syncs to my itunes playlist. I have no idea how to disconfigure this, nor am I clear on how to really select just certain songs to update onto my iPod, or if I even can. If I can't, than that really sucks cuz I don't have the space on my harddrive to host 80gb of .ACA files. It seems like the minute something disappears off my itunes playlist it disappears off my iPod too and that sucks. Can anyone help me out?

Click on your iPod and select manually manage. Then it won't sync anymore. Can just copy shit one file at a time from your itunes playlist onto your iPod.

No I didn't do it! I like to wait forever and be lazy about 5 minute updates. I can't explain why...

You need to rip your songs from your ipod to your itunes, which iTunes doesn't allow for intellectual rights reasons, so get iPod Util which lets you do it.
