ah crap. there was a new episode on Monday? DAMN

OK I hate reading threads late. I cant come in and shut everyone up right away lol.


anyway here's my thoughts.


1) The future can be changed. You want Proof?
Was I the only one who watched the intro\recap? The announcer said "WHAT IF?" and it was even flashed on the screen. I thought instantly that this was going to be just like the "Marvel What If" comic. The idea of this episode right from the start was that the viewers get to see an image of "WHAT IS TO COME IF" something isnt done. The producers may throw in the occasional red herring, but the actual narrative and what not tells the viewers during the show intro that this is a "WHAT IF" situation.

2) Hiro had been working on that giant "String Theory" for five years. Its implied that he had gone back and created this "Time Map" by viewing things first hand. To say that Hiro was tricked is a little strange to me. The problem is that we the viewers dont really know the extent of Hiro's powers. Someone mentioned the butterfly effect already, but Im going to state this again. Hiro can not just go back and do things like stop Syler from being born, or killing him as a baby. The farther back in time he goes the bigger effect its going to have on the future. Hero could inadvertently change a lot more than he wants and end up with a future FAR worse that what he's in. this is why Hiro has not been directly involved with the current timeline.

3) Syler killed Nathan quite some time ago. The events are not happening in real time as we watch the episode. The proof is that Slyer says to Claire "Ive been waiting a long time for this." I doubt if he had been waiting only a few months or even a year he would have said that. Chances are hes been waiting over 2-3 years.

4) Matt probably knew about Syler and kept his mouth quiet to avoid being killed. The reason he knew Syler would be upset if he came back empty handed is because (get this) he read his mind. He also knew that Syler wants nothing more than to find Claire.

5) Syler never killed the The Haitian because he couldnt. Its possible that his powers wouldnt alow him to "understand\steal" the powers that The Haitian has.

6) Syler already has the ability to time travel. Think about this. the episode last week ended with Peter and Syler fighting. Past Hiro was able to teleport out with Ando at the very last second. However, a dead Future Hiro (who wasnt shot in the head) lay on the ground in that future. Now, lets pretend that Syler some how kills Peter or at least gets Peter to flee the scene. This would allow Syler to obtain Hiros powers by eating his brain.
now, I dont have any clips with me (im at work just thinking about this), but I think its possible to prove this happened already. The biggest clue is back when we first met Molly. Syler for some reason attacked two parents but "seemingly" missed the daughter. Remember? that’s when we first saw his freezing ability. Its possible that Syler was actually out to get the daughter in order to prevent the last three episodes from happening (IE Stopping Syler with Molly), but Molly saved herself with her own powers. Now if that isnt enough, lets fast forward a little to where Syler again tries to capture\kill Molly and fails, but this time it was at the police HQ. Remember when Parkman got close enough to actually shoot at Syler? Remember he fell down but got back up? Then do you remember what he did next? He "flew" away. At least IIRC he flew away. So this could mean that there is also two Slyers (Or someone just as evil trying to insure syler gets his way) on the loose. This could also explain why the bomb still went off.
It was my original theory after episode 19 that there were actually two time travelers. One who was trying to prevent the bomb and another insuring it went off. Hence why the bomb still went off even though Claire stopped it. Someone else has played with the time line after Claire was saved and made peter blow up in place of syler. Although I admit this theory is a little out there.

That’s all I can think off of the top of my head, I had many other things to say, but this is all i can remember for now, ill be posting more though.

Yeah watching this show makes me nerd-giggle like crazy.
