I'm so happy i finished it. I assumed from the start it was just going to be a money pit

Took off the stock hum and put a bass EMG 35 in it. Had to wire a new volume and tone. Also had to rewire everything else. Cut out a ton of area inside the guitar to make room for the new wires, bigger pickup and 2 new pots.

I'm shocked at the fact it worked. I'm more shocked that it sounds amazing. Only thing i wasn't expecting was i needed a new octave pedal.

nice man, I'm a bit to nervous to mod my guitar by myself. I'm gonna grab some EMG81 pickups though, I love the scoop and "chunk" sound sound you get from them.

I think the 81 - 85 setup is the best. You either really love or really hate that active pickup sound

Nice.

I'm more of a fan of Duncans and Dimarzio's myself. I have an ESP with and 81/85 set, but I hardly play it. lol I can get any sound I want out of my two other guitars and I've been getting back into jazz lately, (just finished transcribing Systematic Chaos, so it's back to other styles.)
