i try :D i always have liked thor and the whole Norse mythology scene, Thor was one of my first comic books. it just seems that the comic industry is diluting itself and pumping out movies just because they can these days. Always been a big fan of Ironman also, i just dont see how Robert Downey jr. can pulloff the ironman role.

If Thor follows any actually accurate storyline from the comic ill be suprised and impressed. all of the comic movies that have been produced, some better than others, have all taken creative licensce with details that to true fans are rather disappointing just to please the general audience who has no idea either way how Dr. Doom got his powers.

Uh, no. There are some really fucking shitty superheros out there, you might want to reconsider (though they have ZERO chance of a movie being made of them). Thor is just a norse god that inhabits someone when they use Mjolnir (or the god himself). Using norse mythology doesn't make Thor the worst superhero. I am sure Jubilee is better than Thor to you lol.

Robert Downey Jr. will be fine as Tony Stark the alcoholic. Inside the Iron Man suit, it really won't matter that much who is playing the character. It will be all special effects.

No because they're gay as hell. Mostly one dimensional (and don't try and say that Marvel's heroes are two dimensional or something because making a hero that has minor flaws is now just as passe as the hero who always does the right thing). I don't dislike them because they're unrealistic, I dislike them for the same reason I don't like Power Rangers or Dragon Ball Z anymore.

I've never read comic books but I have nothing against them. I used to watch all the batman(wb11), superman(wb11), and xmen(fox5) cartoons along with having seen all the movies (except xmen3). I think the closest thing to comic book heroes for me would be videogame/fantasy book stuff. I put Cecil, Link, and Wander up where yarr might put whatever tights-wearing fag he likes best, which is probably Thor considering that pic of him in the gaybomb thread.

I never liked power rangers. I liked DBZ for the yelling.

Right because Link is totally different than a comic book hero in regard to how stereotyped he is. Totally multi-dimensional character there, Link.... LOL. Video game characters are every bit a joke if not more than comic book characters. You're a fucking tool. The only thing video game characters have going for them is that they are controllable. Depends on which comic writer you are talking about in regards to multi-dimensional characters. Some are much better than others.

I wasn't contrasting videogame heroes and comic book heroes, I was using them as my parallel to something I don't know much about. lol I was saying Cecil, Link, and Wander are my plain old stereo/archetype boring heroes. I called thor a tights-wearing fag (kinda like link) because I was busting yarr's balls. Link isn't even 1 dimensional, he has no dimension, he never speaks. Almost anything someone might think of Link has to be imagined lol. Cecil is the a mix of batman and superman (fallen knight, space alien), and Wander is just a hopeless version of Link.

If I read comic books and there was one about a dark knight who becomes a white knight and goes around saving people, I'd probably like it because it's just like Cecil. If there were one about a hopeless guy on an endless journey to revive his lost love, I'd like it because it'd be like Wander, etcetcetc.

He didn't, but I know he plays them haha. Entertainment is entertainment, no matter the medium. I had the browser open and my post in there for a while. If someone posts in that span, then I post without seeing what they posted. I chose to go after Link, since Ponuh gives Wind Waker rimjobs because it uses cel shading. That character is every bit as stereotypical and generic as anything ever put in comics.
