Post subject:  Fellow GTR skyline fanbois

This will make Ponuh angry but I don't care.

I know some of us have discussion about previous GTR Skylines on here. What do you guys think of the R35? It's finally coming to US in 2008 (2009 model) for $80,000...

I doubt it will break records like the previous Skylines, but I do think it comes with a lot of cool shit. This list of factory parts is just damn impressive. lol @ R mode

I saw that. I think it's about time that they brought one over, but I think a lot of people might try to import them through canada for less if they can find them.

21.5 MPG which isnt too bad for a car pushing 473 awhp

on another note, there are 3 things i hate about this car:

#1 VR38DETT engine -.- (we all know the GT-R is legendary for its RB26DETT straight 6)
#2 its only automatic paddle shifting which is pure trash imo, manual all the way
#3 it weighs 3728 pounds... can anyone say weight reduction? lol

a few things i liked about it but besides that i find Nissan kinda went off track on this car considering the skyline was originally built for racing and not 4 seasons any weather all around vehicle. thats what the maxima is for or the 350GT skyline aka G35 coupe / G37-S coupe

but in the end lol this car will still destroy everything. they nurburgring it and it beat the porsche GT2 buy a couple seconds...so its definatly gonna haul ass just wont feel like a skyline to me.

Ferrari just uses paddle shifters on their F1 cars lol. The Tiptronic in recent Porsches and the failed SMG in BMWs both easily shift faster than any human is capable of shifting. They are far superior to manual gearboxes in performance tests. The SMG is a piece of crap though due to how it handles low speed driving (not well). Paddle shifters are pretty good actually, better shift response than even the best manual in the case of Porsche and Ferrari.

Yeah I agree with all that. Getting rid of the RB26 for a V6 made it lose appeal to me also. I hear the future Supra is going to have a V6. Getting rid of the 2JZ will be another stupid move. Both of those inline 6s are legendary and those cars are well known for that reason.

I would much rather have an R34 for a track car. R35 would be a nice dily drive though.

Giant "my truck is bigger than yours" beasts flood the streets of Arizona like your wouldn't fucking believe. And on top of it they drive them like they are fucking racecars.

I hate pickup trucks so much. Talisin is in Calgary (Canada's cowboy land) and last time he was down he went on a funny rant about pickup trucks and how much he hates em.

Big truck drivers all think they are tough guys too. It's so annoying. I get more dirty looks from them than anything. I just smile and laugh. I really do smile a lot when I drive. It throws people off.

Today on the highway I saw maybe 3 actual CARS here in AZ. The rest were big dumb trucks. I was telling my girlfriend how I hope they all crash into each other and explode in a fantastic fiery ball of flame, that would make me happy. On Wednesday we had 2 HUGE lifted Ram 2500's come in and valet. Dumbest fucking cars ever. Ugh, UGH!

in short.....I agree with you Yarr. Surprise!

Shock of the centry!

But really I think most people on this forum would hate Pick-up trucks. Except maybe Panther, but he's excluded since he drives real trucks. Trying to drive a normal car would be annoying I imagine if you drive huge truck for work.

I have a pickup I bought before I got my car (2000 4x4 Tacoma) and it hardly ever gets driven lol. I drive it when I go to Mexico, go camping, or need to move shit. I can't drive a truck every day. My penis starts to shrink.
