Theres this girl who I see around campus all the fucking time and it bothers the shit out of me. She's not that hott be she's got me feeling all retarded whenever I see her. Never had that type of feeling since like 3rd grade lol.

Anyways i'm sitting here doing nothing at work when I stumble upon her facebook page. We really haven't had a conversation before, ever, but I kinda think she knows who I am because I helped her open a soda bottle at a vending machine last week lol. I want to message her and try to chill sometime but at the same time I don't want her to get the wrong impression and think I'm some kinda of E-stalker. (Which is what I would think)

I had a crush on someone for almost a year and a half before I said anything. My friends didnt really understand why I had such a crush on her. They didnt think she was hot enough to warrent my borderline obsession. Not that she was ugly. I thought she was attractive, but it was something else about her. I couldnt put my finger on it.

So finally I made a plan. I manipulated my way into getting into like 4/5 classes with her lol. I took my time and soon I found myself talking to her, although it always felt a little awkward at first. Then as I got to know her better I realized it wasnt just me acting semi awkward, she was too. Then I started to get annoyed with her a little. She refused to do work in a group I was in with her, it was for some class I cant remember what one. So when I wrote out the points she neede to present with, I put in a few incorrect facts lol. I figured she was going to kill me once she figured it out.

She never figured out that I did it intentionally. I ended up feeling bad and we became great friends after that point. Then the next thing I knew she started inviting her self out with my friends. She came out quite a bit and the next thing I knew people were asking me how long we had been dating. Even though we were only friends. Then of course things moved past friendship.

Things were going along really well and she ended up confessing to me that she had a huge crush on me since she started at my school. She appologised for being a bitch. Then out of no where she had to move and I didnt have a licence. It started getting really hard to see each other. On top of that I met Princess around the same time. I figured we had a good run so I ended up chasing after Princess. Although I still regret that choice, not just because princess wasnt as pretty (Princess hated running into her at the mall lol, she was the only girl that made princess Jelous)

Anyway, I do have a point. I think the reason I developed a crush on her in the first place was because we both had a little crush on each other. There are little sublte things people do around people they are attracted too. I think I picked on her signals and she picked up on mine, but both of us failed to realize that (probably because we were like 17-18 years old).

So anyway thats what I think. She probably has a crush on you and youre picking up her signals and just not realizing it. You need to establish common ground and then take it from there.

Being in my school it's kind of easy to have a steady rotation of girls to 'chill' with. I've met them all at parties or through friends at parties. When i'm in school/work it feels so weird to just talk to random girls that I don't even know. And I actually like this girl which makes it that much harder. What sucks is that I only see her on campus at completely random times and I'm getting kinda desperate. Do I just stop her in person and try to talk or just message her online?

I'm the biggest introvert when it comes to meeting people in non-social settings. I want to just ask her out on facebook but how many girls actually read their messages let alone date random guys who send them?

God damn I don't even know this person and i'm sweating her already.

Sorry everyone if my posts are hard to read, i'm not big on emotional dilemmas so when they do arrive I get all flustered and can't think straight.

nobody's worth the kind of stress you're putting yourself under deejay, just muster up some balls, and say hi.. ask her what she's doing and if she's not busy, ask her if she wants to go out and get a drink/something to eat.

Another good way to go is to ask if she's going to some party or college function.. that way you can chill with her if you see her there. Just make that first step to talk to her, and I would suggest face to face.. finding her randomly on facebook and sending her a message when she's seen you like twice on campus is gonna freak her out and more than likely make her think you're some pussy who can't talk to her face to face.

It'll help with the anxiety too, cuz if she doesn't seem receptive to going out with you, than you know right away you don't stand a chance or she's involved with someone. Even if she did reply to your message and you guys became online friends, you're going to be obsessing over everything she says and wondering if there's some subtle flirtation going on or something.

Of course the whole face-to-face thing kinda sucks cuz then you have to wait til you run into her again and it sounds like you guys don't exactly have the same schedule...

I dunno I would just wait and fuck some other bitches in the meantime to keep your mind off her, and don't worry about it being the perfect time or her seeming like she's busy or something if you catch her from afar.. just walk right up and say "Hi, my names deejay i'm a lvl 75 smn and i seens you around here before and i was wondering if you would like to accompany me to tonight's onyxia raid"

i'd say write a short note to her on facebook saying you think she's cute (or whatever you like about her) and ask her on a date and give her your #. if she says no, no big deal and move on. asking out a girl once isn't stalking. they're used to it.

The less people that are present to witness you getting rejected, the better. That might make a PM on facebook more safe in that regard if you aren't so comfortable socially. Your odds probably aren't bad all things considering. You will never know unless you try anways.

I should be the last one to give that advice because I don't talk to anyone at all, ever haha. I probably talk to a maximum of 3 people on a given day I go to classes (including TAs and professors). I kinda enjoy being so damn shy and introverted now that I accept that it is just a part of my personality. It has its benefits actually, though the drawbacks are pretty damn bad.

It's not that i'm uncomfortable talking to her, I just don't know how the hell to approach her when we don't have any mutual friends or take any of the same classes.

That's why I was asking if Facebook would be a better route but even then a lot of losers use that thing to find girls and I know if I were her i'd probably shrug off/not even read the message.

I don't know, it just seems a lot easier for her to not read/delete my message than it is to say no to my handsome self in person. It's just getting that moment to even get to talk/say hi to her that i'm worried about.
