Post subject: | Car tires + wheels question |
I'm sure some of you will think this isn't the place for this question and although i've asked elsewhere i still wanna hear your opinions. I just purchased a new set of wheels and shoes for my Lexus and even though i like what i got i wonder if i can go a little smaller on the sidewall height. I got the Borbet Type FS 18"x7.5 wheels and Pirelli PZero Nero M+S (215/45ZR18 93W) tires but i was wondering if the Goodyear Eagle F1 (225/45RZ18 95Y) tires would be an ok fit with my wheels... Here's a couple of pics of a Saab with the same wheels (different shoes) and i thought i'd look pretty cool in the Lexus. ![]() ![]() I should be getting them next week, so i'd like to order the F1's tomorrow and get them next week as well so i can have them installed on the weekend. Any suggestions? |

I like deepdish rims too but it's overly used here where i live, anyone and everyone wants deepdish rims but i just want something nice that will go with the car. Also deepdish rims for my lexus would require me working a lot with the offset and maybe even folding the fenders which i don't want to do. |

I have no idea. I let websites figure that shit out for me lol (like tire rack or discount tire online). |

That's where i got the tires, it didn't let me pick the F1's for my rims, but that doesn't mean i can't put them on the rims. |

Yes. 225 will fit on 7.5" but you might want to check to make sure it won't rub. ...and get some potenza RE-01s instead. :P |

I always thought Eagle F1's were better... Will the RE-01 fit my wheels? |

The RE01 is a performance tire... I'd say one of the best but not cheap. lol Yeah, they'll fit. Tire size is tire size. I have the 225 on mine but my wheels are 8" but I have seen people run 245 RE01s on my same wheel. |

Kumho Ecsta SPT ftw! Oh wait...you gotta live in AZ to enjoy them lol. They are sticky but only friendly to dry hot weather. I like Azenis as well. |

So i decided to go with the Eagle F1's All season 225/40ZR18, from what i read it's not gonna fit, but hopefully i'll find someone to mod my car enough to fit. |

They will fit on the wheels.. you need to roll your fenders? |

Fit the wheels i know they will, but the wheels+tires wont fit in the car without spacers or any other offset mods. It'll probably rub either the fenders if i don't roll it or the struts depending on offset. I'm kinda jumping into conclusion though, because from what i read it should fit with minor mods to offset. |

That sure is nice, but it's too much truck for the sand... My lexus would never need that. Although those are Brembo rotors and Akebono pads, i have plenty of stopping power. Next will be installing a $1500 nav system yey! |

Looks pretty nice Kioto! Personally though, yeah, I'd like something a little deeper looking, but then again the style for my Lancer is tooootally different from your Lexus. Still, they give it a good look, to where its stylish, but not over doing it AKA WTFLOLGANGSTARIMZZZ |
