Maybe not a really long time but it'll definitely be delayed. An upstanding director like Chris Nolan may just recast him, who knows.

We can only hope Chris Nolan opts out of the third film because he's WAY too talented to waste anymore time with these (admittedly good) comic book adaptations. Memento is definitely in my top five ever. So fucking good. The Prestige is nothing to sneeze at either. Oh yeah, too bad Heath Ledger died and everything

Chris Nolan did a great job with Memento. Although I dont think its as great as everyone lets on. It was cool because it was different, but different doesnt always mean its good. Although with that said its for sure in my top 15.

I hate the stigma that comes along with Comic Adeptations. Theres nothing wrong with them if they are done right. I thought 300 was a great example. Although "Hero" comic movies tend to be more campy.

300 was a pretty horrible movie once you get past the action sequences and (in my case) leather speedo-clad men.

Memento's script is one of the best ever written. If you think about it, there are two broad categories of scripts: memento and everything else. It's not different for the sake of being different though; the inverse storylines are paramount to the entire effect of the movie. There's a lot beyond the script that makes it brilliant beyond words, though.

Things that don't follow the conventions that everyone has gotten so used to are bound to be lauded for brilliance and then criticized for being "different for the sake of being different". There's nothing pretentious or condescending about the script unlike an Aaron Sorkin piece or something (another writer I absolutely love haha). Another example of a script that I think is up to the caliber of Memento is Network, which was also vastly different than everything else, just in a subtler way.

I like the idea of Memento, but every time I watch it, I feel like something is missing. Maybe that's how you're supposed to feel, but I feel like the story could've been told better. I felt like there were a lot of loose ends that made the story too unbelievable. Vague clues that panned out to critical plot points, and then a cheesed-off ending that leaves you guessing "so was any of this real, or is he just a fucking maniac?" I feel like that's what writers do when they can't come up with an ending *cough*house of 1000 corpses*cough*

But I'm sure you'll just say that I'm a moron and totally missed the whole point and need to read the book or some bullshit.

If I were a famous 28 year old multimillionaire who had a whole floor of an NYC apartment building to myself and could get any girl in the world, I would totally commit suicide.

I never saw Memento, but I've heard so many good things about it. I'll add it to my rental list.

Matti your avatar is fucking amazing.

And lol at the "God hates fags" flyer. Those people are insane. I remember listening to them on Howard Stern. I'm straight and those people pissed me off with their ignorance. I want to stab the loud mouthed lady...I can't remember her name but she's like their leader. I have no problems with gay people, gay marriage, any of that. I don't understand those crazy bible thumpers. Oh yeah and I've seen Brokeback Mountain haha.

This only makes me appreciate my parents and their religion even more.

My parents are hardcore active Mormons. You could easily call my parents bible thumpers. The main difference is that Mormons also preach tolerance. My parents may not agree with people who are gay, but they do not hate gay people. One of Sunshine's best friends is gay, he is going to be in the wedding party (on her side) and my parents have no problem at all. I thought they might be uncomfortable with the idea, but they actually thought it was cute.

My parents realize that this isnt their wedding. This isnt their choice. They arnt going to go to hell because of the choices I (or anyone) make.

I was always raised to respect everyone, no matter how different they are. Well, except for people like Mikey... my god... there is no way to deal with people like him!

I think that is one of the more tasteless things any human can do.

Picketing dead people...because that will show 'em!

Who here thinks the overdose was accidental?

Make it appreciate your parents, not their religion. Mormonism is not the most tolerant of religions.

A really religious guy in my German class honestly thought heath ledger died of an STD because he played a gay character in one movie #-o I've got nothing but irreverence for the entire institution of religion

I think all organized religions are crazy. I have a super catholic family (my uncle is the head knights of columbus guy in AZ) and they disgust me at times haha.
