It might be good. I doubt it will be the best comic movie ever, but it shows promise. I like how it covers the evolution of the suit/armor. Iron man was the first to create a suit of armor to protect the world from what I remember in comic book and sci-fi fantasy stuff. Iron Man's first appearance is in 1963. That would be a pre-cursor to mech stuff. Tony Stark as a character designed by Stan Lee and is of course influenced by Howard Hughes. |

I don't know anything about Iron Man but this trailer and the commercial that aired during the super bowl were pretty good. I'll probably see this for the hell of it, haven't been to the movies since Halloween came out. |

Oh god is this a favreau picture   If he doesn't fuck it up with "ironic dialogue" he'll probably fuck it up with sentimentalism. Still, the effects look good and downey can probably do quite a bit with a shitty script if he knows the movie depends on it.
