Are you using one of the Top Ten Common Passwords?

If you are using one of the top ten common passwords, please change it as hackers are looking for a more worthy challenge (ie you can't even call this a dictionary attack as its more like a postit note attack).

1. password

2. 123456

3. qwerty

4. abc123

5. letmein

6. monkey

7. myspace 1

8. password 1

9. blink182

10. (your first name)

I see peoples passwords on a daily basis with my job. One of the most common I see is their kids name followed by their birth year. People think its so tricky doing that, but its not.

The big thing people also seem to like doing its keyboard patterns.

1qaz2wsx
asdfjkl;
1q2w3e4r

stuff like that.

One of the most often ones i see is somebody using the company's name followed by 1-9 or they add a 0 before the number cause they think its really clever...

Never understood why they do that.

on the internet forums and shit where it doesn't matter I use sequences like 1234 or 1122 just so I can remember it

Oh noes someone hacked my CKD account and posted gay porn its the end of the world... ya no.

When i was in the army a lot of shit that requires passwords requires like capitial letters lower case letters numbers and special characters and you have to change it every coupel months and it can't be any of the last 10 you used so it was common to do like AAaa11!! and then just change the !! to @@ when its time to update it
