So today i purchased a few new parts for my computer, hopefully i won't be dissapointed at the outcome.

my question is kioto. The computer you had already looked pretty much up to date and brand new. Was it completely necessary to upgrade the pc again?

Considering at best you'd be gaining a 5% improvement lol probably less than that.

I have to buy a new comp so that I can play Warhammer and Aion at top graphics (( in a few months )), trouble is I don't know much about how computers are built/how they work, so building my own is not an option- but I'm gonna buy from this little company on ebay that builds gaming PCs and has like a 99.6% user reccomendation and comes with a 3 year warranty/ but you have to tell them the parts you want and they will build it for you and charge you accordingly. Itll be more $ than building one myself but lol I'd end up wasting money on destroying parts trying to put the fucker together.

Anyways when I go about doing this hopefully you guys can give me some part reccomendations/info

Just an assumption out just looking at the pc picture you posted. It looked relatively new. Anyway what did you have this set up in mind for?

Well Mikey my current PC is fairly new compared to most computers but it's not up to date with new technology, in fact my video card was released on november of 2006. The issue i have isn't the fact that my computer is a little out of date, but because of the resolution on my new monitor... My current setup will not run recent games at max resolution even if settings are on med. (with AA 4x). Since my girlfriend is playing games as well i decided to build her a computer with the spare parts i'll have when i get the new hardware.
I'm going to buy a 2nd GTX280 in a month when i finish paying for all this stuff with another VelociRaptor so i can use in a raid 0 configuration as well, hopefully with all this stuff i'll be able to completly max out Crysis @ 2560x1600 (i think i will), but i'm also getting all this stuff because computer games and building computers/electronics is one of my hobbies, even though i only spend maybe 15-20 hours per week playing games, i still like to have the good stuff. Does that answer your question Mikey?
