I think this is bad legislation. Although, I'm sure if I was a victim I would want the issue adressed.
So really, I don't know how I feel.

well here in USA we have the samething that Ca, Riverside that did same thing as what you posted, Its true that pitbulls are well known to attack people and I seen this before once when friend of mine was getting bite by his own pitbull.

This dog was happy all the time and this dog just SNAP and I had to pull this dog off of him, you just couldn't pull it off cuzz of strong mouth so I had no options but choke this dog to death to get it off of my friend.

After I got the dog off dead which I didnt like to do and called 911 cuzz he was chew up so bad that I had to use my belt to stop the bleeding.

well he ok and had over 600 stitch and its mess up bad but doctor told me he was lucky to be alive that I saved his life.

That's horrifying.

It seems to be that this legislation would be difficult to enforce. Do you know how this is done in your area?

Well, my family has nine dogs ( three yellow labs, one chocolate lab, one black lab, one welsh corgi, a mutt with a seriously small head, and a miniature doxen) and to be honest I'm surprised we're even allowed to have that many dogs (not to mention the seven other animals we have, so that's sixteen animals in the house at one time). Vicious dogs should really be taken on a 1-to-1 basis.. I mean, not all pit bulls will attack. I don't really see the point of banning one type of breed.

well if dog does attack someone its owner will be Fined up to $10,000 plus 6 months in jail also the dog will be put to sleep.

now enforce are done in two ways. one you got police and two Animals control will do this also.

Law say "If you own dog you must have license or dog tag that you pay once a year and show that dog have shots also before you can get the tags" if unlicense you can be fined up to $5,000 and animal can be removed until you pay for license and shot also MUST be spay or neuter. now you can skip the spay or neuter but you'll end up paying 5 time more for license than spay or neuter

when i was 4 we had a pitbull next door that killed and ate our neighbor's chihuahua. then a few months later, it killed and ate, you guessed it, another chihuahua from further down the street. the pit bull could jump the 10 foot fences the owner had specially made for it, not sure how. it would sometimes be in my backyard (i could never go in my own backyard) i would see it in the window. one time the owners were out of town, the pitbull got out and was roaming the neighborhood all drooly-mouthed and my grandfather came with a shotgun, but the evening news crew also came, and so did the police with animal control. they eventually cornered the pit bull in between my house and the owners'. my dad made the evening news

Pit bulls aren't any more inclined to violence than any other dog. They just happened to be better at it because they can lock their jaws. Unfortunately there are some sick SOB's out there and they like to train pitbulls to be cruel and vicious. It'd be easier just to ban the people who do it rather than the dogs. Is australia still accepting convicts?

I work for a pizza shop as a delivery driver. I got bit by an unleashed dog about 3 months ago. It was about the size of a pitbull, but it was a mixed breed. The owner of the dog had no medical record for it (friggun mexicans), so I had to go to a clinic a few times for shots, and I was on antibiotics for about a week. Now I am afraid of all big dogs, lol.

Aside from learing how to open the fridge he's licked a few people to death but they all recovered.
