ok so the last one didnt end to well and I had to move it. Anyway Im bored and I thought you guys might want an update on the fantastic times that are my life. Well its been almost two months since I vowed to change my eating and work out habbits. Well When I started I was about 142-145lbs. I was eating like garbage haha. I lived off of Cerial and begals from work. Any time i was hungry at work I just downed a donut or some cookies. Back before christmas when princess and I were still an item, we lived on junk food. Sugar Sugar Sugar. I never ate fruits or veggies. I almost never ate a good dinner and lunch for me was almost always a begal lol. I never worked out. The closest thing I got to a work out was walking around the malls with Princess. If things hadnt changes I think I would have just kept putting on more weight. So, its been almost 2 months. I havent had so much as a pinch of junk food. No cookies, no donuts or anything that has any high amounts of refined sugar. Infact I havent had so much as a taste of chocolate or anything sweet. Bananas are about as "junk food" as I get. It hasnt been easy, but I figured once I dont feel like I have any cravings for junk food I can better control it. Atleast that was the goal, now I dont even have a disire for junk food. I now make my lunch every day. I snack on fruits and I eat a good sandwich (on full 12 grain wheat bread) each day. I also make sure to have a nice dinner every night. Im a faggy-ass calorie counter. Well, Calorie estimator haha. I do weight training 3 days a week. Each day is one of three things Arms\shoulders, back\chest or Legs. Its with my trainer so depending on what Im really sore the next day. When we do legs I almost cant walk the next day it hurts so bad haha. When we do arms I cant lift more than like 10lbs the next day. Its good though, and with a personal trainer the results are super fast. On top of weights I do about 30min of cardio each day(7 days a week) and a normal "chin-ups(the chin up bar is on tals doorway and he hates me using it cause I just boast about how many i can do haha), Sit-ups, push-ups" that normally leave me sore. dont get me wrong, Im carfull not to "over train". Its why I have a personal trainer, hes carful to make sure I dont push myself to had. The difference between how I felt before new years and after is night and day. Im alot more positive. It takes alot more to get me stressed out and I have a bout 100x more energy. Im also alot more pleasent to be around accourding to my family. Oh so what inspired me to write this? Well back in november I had to get new pants for work because the ones I had were to tight and the button was practially ready to blow off haah. I had to suck in to put them on lol. Princess hated it and made go out with her and get a new pair that fit better. I got a pair that fit much better. Well this morning I couldnt put on my new pants because they litterally just fall down. Ive had to put on my old pants that are actually lose on me now. I mean I knew I lost weight, but I didnt think I lost that much. Im down to about 125lbs now. I dont know if thats good or not considering Im suppose to be bulking up haha. Anyway I was bored and felt like being an attention whore. Oh and yeah I am bulking up dispite losing almost 20 lbs in 2 months. I really look alot better. anyway if you read all of this you get extra love from me. I need more people on these forums to start working out so we can talk about crap like that. |

125lbs sounds awfully disproportional to someone that has a HGT of 5'5+ Unless you just wanna go back to skin & bones like ike. I'm 5'6 and i weight around 145lbs, i bench about 140 and i dumbell 20's so i'm not mostrously muscular, but i'm pretty defined. I dont eat much junk food at all (accept Taco Bells @ times) since i'm brazillian, my father always cooks rice & beans with chicken or beef (never pork) there is always salad and i always eat a banana with my meals. I usually take a big green apple to work since those things are awesome for your health. I also like lemonade, i got used to it after my father was obligated to drink it because of the greecy food he used to eat @ where he worked. Maybe i'll take some pics someday =p |

125 seems way to skinny for a 5'5" man. With what you are saying, u should be bulking up, and with that much soreness you should be building muscle, not just "getting cut." Then again, i used to play football and weighed 185 as a senior in highschool. Maybe you should think about taking some sort of protein supplement to gain a little bit of muscle mass. Other than that, sounds like you are making progress. In my workout routine, since january i've almost gained 20lbs in my bench, can run a good mile w/o getting tired, and like yarr said, feeling much more energetic. |

Good job Yarr. Sounds like you are on the right track with your fitness routine and healthy eating. I used to be very good myself, but have veered off a bit. Atm I'm 6'4" 180 pounds. I always trained to stay lean and tone, I never got into lifting heavy weights...I would just do light weight and alot of reps. I think at my best I was 190 pounds and very very low body fat. I've been slacking in the gym BIG time the past several months, and have been eating like absolute s*it latley. Every time I eat crappy food I slap myself in the face afterwards, but I still find myself doing it. Mostly it's going out to dinner with friends (and drinking on weekends) or something like that. I've been thinking alot and I really need to change something now. Even though I'm not overweight...I'm starting to feel like crap all the time. I know if I keep this lifestyle up I'm gonna start gaining fat and really hate myself. Reading stuff like this inspires me to change something about myself. Anyways again good job with everything...keep it up :D |
