Do you usually use "Lol" as a expression of laughing out loud, or is it just a filler for something mildly funny or interesting? Honestly I usually use it when I'm laughing in my head. or, and when i'm actually laughing I'll put it in all caps. It's just something I think would be interesting. |

I use differing phrases to indicate how much I'm actually laughing. "lol" or "haha" usually means I'm either joking around or it's filler. Extensions of that or capitalization indicates I'm usually laughing really hard or whatever. |

yea like SS said, "lol" is usually an indicator that i am joking around. When I am actually "Laughing Out Loud" i usually put "ROFL" or "LMAO" in caps like that. Obviously i am not literally "rolling on the floor laughing" but thats what I use to show that I am actually luahging irl. I also put "lol" when someone tells a lame ass joke just to make it seem like their joke was amusing. What can I say, I'm a nice guy and I dont like for ppl to be the only one laughing at their own joke, haha |

I use 'lol' like punctuation, but to denote sarcasm or to lighten a statement. Like: "Yes, IGE is an honest company, lol." Usually when something makes me laugh irl, it deserves a lmao, or the ever dreaded "roflcopters" |

usually when i type lol in rl i'm more like "hehehehehe." but when its LOL I tend to laugh "HAHAHAHA" but if something really hilarious happened and i didn't type anything. it means i'm at the hospital laughing too hard. |
