I'll admit that I've never read any of the Flash comics although I have done a lot of reading on the internet. My interest started when I read this thread on the KryptonSite (forums for Smallville). The user Madguitarist scans in feats done by DC Superheros in the comics and posts them to show everyone. Its an awesome thread and he keeps updating a few times a week. Heres an example of one of his posts. Madguitarist wrote: The Flash III (Wally West) if written correctly would end most of his comics on the first page but since they have to stretch out the story to make it intresting they hold him back.

I actually have been rolling the idea around of getting into the Flash comics. Im waiting for the Infinite Crisis to finish (I might actually start buying IC since ive read tons and tons of back stories that lead up to it) since its probably going to retune all the characters and stories like Crisis on Infinite Earths did in 85. Anyway. Im excited about this movie and I think Ryan Reynolds would be a perfect match for Wally West. Hes a great match to play since West was a little bit of a smart ass and he was about the same age as Reynolds. Hes also about the same build. Thats a really rare thing for me to feel. Everyone should know how pick I am when it comes to actors playing Comic Characters in movies. ;p |

I felt the same way until I started watching Smallville and started reading about the DCU. Marvel is best because they have "real" superhero's and DC most the time has giant over powered super heros. Superman is just like the biggest over powered superhero of all time. The flash I have always liked though. I just hated DC and never really got into it. |

Ryan Reyolds is annoying, I could never see myself in a relationship with him (omg did i say that out loud) but he was "looking" pretty damn secksi in the remake of amityville horror.. ah well, typical scenario: as long as your mouth is shut, you'll still be fucking beautiful |

Matti, you would like the new DC, they are a much better company than they use to be back in 80s and early 90s. I just personally never liked the art, but now they have a great set of artist. On of my personal favorites Jim Lee is doing work for them now. I LOVED Jim Lee's work on X-Men. His work here on this cover art is amazing. Love or hate DC, you cant argue

I have to say I use to think DC sucked, but for the last 2 years marvel has had nothing on them. Anyone who reads comics should at least go pick up an issue of superman or batman and you will be impressed. |
