Ok, so, my aunt calls my mom and asks if she can remember this song from when they younger... mom can't remember and starts asking me... I search and search and search... can't find it either. Now it's bugging the shit out of me. So.... help me out, people. It's from the 1960s - 1970s, but probably more like late 60s. We have no idea who the artist is but the words go like this: What's your name, little girl What's your game, little girl Don't tell me lies in the night... What's all the fuss about... Life goes on Each of us going separate ways... What's your name, little girl Etc My mom seems to think it's called either "Little Girl" or "What's Your Name"? This has gotten to the point that I feel bad playing ffxi b/c I feel like I should be searching the net trying to figure this bs out. Help me, dang. |

Yeah, gotta agree with jim, first part is familiar from Lynrd Skynrd but the rest doesn't fit. o_@ Maybe she's got like two songs stuck in her head, and they just kinda got molded together into one. *shrug* o_o Dunno. |

It's more like the Foundations (Build me up, Buttercup...) Or like Tommy James and the Shondells (Crimson and Clover, Mony Mony) |

Lynyrd Skynyrd What's Your Name? (Gary Rossington - Ronnie VanZant) Well, its 8 o'clock in Boise, Idaho I'll find my limo driver Mister, take us to the show I done made some plans for later on tonight I'll find a little queen And I know I can treat her right. (Chorus) What's your name, little girl? What's your name? Shootin' you straight, little girl? Won't you do the same?. Back at the hotel Lord we got such a mess It seems that one of the crew Had a go with one of the guests, oh yes Well, the police said we can't drink in the bar What a shame Won't you come upstairs girl And have a drink of champagne What's your name, little girl? What's your name? Shootin' you straight, little girl? For there ain't no shame. (Chorus) (Chorus) 9 o'clock the next day And I'm ready to go I got six hundred miles to ride To do one more show, oh no Can I get you a taxi home It sure was grand When I come back here next year I wanna see you again What was your name, little girl? What's your name? Shootin' you straight, little girl? Well there ain't no shame What was your name, little girl? What's your name? Shootin' you straight, little girl? Won't you do the same? © Copyright by Duchess Music/Get Loose Music, Inc. - BMI All rights reserved. Used by permission. |
