figured it would be cool as an alternate to a lyric thread (since that idea has been beat into the ground and no one seems really interested in it anymore) to have a favorite song/suggest a song thread. It's simple, just post the name of the song and the artist, any additional info is completely optional: ie. lyrics, a link to an mp3, comparable list of artists, reason for it being your fav. song atm or why you want others to hear it, though I'm sure that stuff would be interesting to hear if you feel like taking the time.

I picked up a tegan and sara cd where i work and discovered this song called "Don't Confess" and have had it on rotation for the better part of the last few hours.. if you liked/like mazzy star and beck's sea change or anything that's pretty and folkish you'll dig this.

wow so cad is like my favorite taru

just downloaded The Hives not too long ago, they're like a 60's punkrock kinda band and they're really good.
edit AGAIN: dunno how many people know about Bloc Party but they are awesome. not sure how to explain their style.. they are just themselves.. and the lead singer(they're british) definately has a distinct voice.

pretty much any Panic at the disco song, but the 3 here are probobly their best... its kind of like rock/techno but they put it together reelee well andmake it sound good, "time to dance" is my favorate though, even if you hate techno, i think you would like them.

Panic at the disco rocks.

I'd say The Willing Well: II: From Fear through the Eyes of Madness by Coheed and Cambria.

It's very prog. Starting almost like something you'd hear on a children's album, musically, contrasted by sort of dark lyrics (You'll burn in hell while they're digging you out, etc.) and it builds into an awesome heavy end section.

Both men were thrown from the vehicle and Mullins was struck and instantly killed by a passing tractor-trailer swerving to avoid the Jeep."
