e-to...I can't choose between these 2 laptops: http://www.paradigit.com/pdf/10012546v.htm and http://www.acer.nl/acereuro/page9.do?da ... 2887688128 I really like the Sony its small and pretty but I want to know if it can play WoW or FFXI. because its an onboard graphiccard. The Sony is 999 euro (1201$) and the Acer is 1199 euro (1443$). I just want a small laptop to use for internet, watching movies/anime, read manga online and play WoW or FFXI. XD too lazy to find the english websites. I'm at work Ö Nintendo doesnt allow me to use the Internet. |

I doubt the one with the onboard graphics card could do FFXI. And those suck because you'll want a good graphics card sooner or later. Most of em come with a crappy one that can only run minesweeper, so I recommend any other laptop. |

My sony laptop was amazing for games (compared to my compaq and Dell 610). I would suggest bumping the ram up to 1gb on either system, its worth every penny. U should be able to play XI and WoW with bumped down gfx settings. Also remember those games will eat up your hard drive space. |

Well, if you only want to run WoW, just let me say that a mac will run it beautifully. |

The Acer laptop will run FFXI fine as far as I know, although the "X300" sounds kind of low spec for what you're paying for. I'm pretty sure for that kind of price you're supposed to be getting something like an X600 or something. Anyhow, pretty much anything with an Nvidia or ATI chipset should work, stay away from the Intel graphics chips if you're looking for 3D performance. |

I have an "A"-series Sony Vaio at home that runs FFXI absolutely beautifully. It has an ATI chip, but I can't remember which one. Cost me like £1100 ($1900 USD) though. Everything is expensive in England though. Your average game (PC/PS2/XBOX/etc) is released at a price of £40 usually, which is about $70 USD. So not only do we have to wait an extra 6-12 months for games to be released here, we pay almost twice as much for it. |

hm i hope you read this post before you buy your laptop. i highly encourage you to find a dell coupon advertisement, gotapex.com usually has them, and get a dell e1705 (or e1505, has equiv of a x300 vid card). i just got one for myself the other day for 1500 with a geforce 7800, dual core 2ghz, 1gig ram, and 60gb/7200rpm. the x300 is fine but it's equivalent to a ati 9800ish (what im using on my desktop right now) and it'll run most games but at minimum requirements. check notebookreviews.com for any questions on parts, comparisons, or laptops you may have, a great site if you arent interested in dells id promote the sony viao, it's decent |

oh, and be careful with that processor, it's 533mhz FSB, decent for a notebook but if you ever plan on playing a at high res it's pretty harsh. |
