hey guys I have to do a survey for one of my classes on hybrid cars. you know, like a Toyota Prius, Honda Insight, Hybrid Accord, Hybrid Civic, etc. The cars that get like 70 mpg. Please just answer yes or no, it would really help me out. Thanks.

no, the hybrd cars are too much for what it gives. and i'm pretty sure tune ups would be expensive as hell.

the gas mileage is great, but unless gas hits like 5 bucks a gallon i won't touch a hybrid.

-100hp and -100torque {No Thanks}

but i started driving when gas was like 3, 4 bucks a gallon for like 6 months in AZ so yea its like 2.05 now

My uncle has one, a Prius. It's extremely impressive.
Why, do you want to give me one? I'll take it, if you do.

I will probaly buy one, I also intend to try and get in on the biodiesel stuff too whenever I get a resonable chance. I'm not trying to be terribly ecological, but they save cash. And even though I'm 25 only, I have learned that just because I have the speed and power, doesn't mean I need it. Its not like we are all living in the freakin Mad Max age and getting home means outrunning midgets in a car with pipes.

From another standpoint too, dependency on foreign oil is every indiviual persons fault, anything you can do on a personal level will always mean something in the long run, maybe not what you will see, but one less golden fridge for Shiek Ala Kalabara is one less golden fridge for Shiek Ala Kalabara.

-100 hp, pfft it gets me to point A from point B while be able to hit at least 90 mph when I need it, tha car is fine. Last I checked the hybrids can hit a cruise of 85?

^exactly. WAY too many Americans believe (have been tricked into believing?) that they NEED a shitload of power from their cars. Except for a few reasons, such as the need to tow a trailer or boat, all people should be driving small cars. This isn't the case, however. I get cut off by soccer moms on cell phones in big fucking SUVs that they're ALONE in all the time. America has an infatuation with big and powerful HEMI powered off roading gas guzzlers.

Luckily, judging by the recent drop in SUV sales, American infatuation with big and powerful is ultimately overshadowed by the wish to save ten bucks at the gas pump. :)

I live in chicago so hp/tq dont matter. We are just happy if traffic is moving on the highway. My co pays for gas so i dont care about mpg. Gas just did hit $3 out here though

I voted no because the oil supply isn't going to last 10 years. Were gonna be either solar or electric exclusively by 2016 lol. Unless that guy with the car that runs on dead cats gets a contract.
