ok keep in mind I do not want to spoil this movie (seeing it monday or sunday i think) I would like one thing answered. Its been bugging me since I found out juggernaut was in the movie. Did they at least explain that Charles and Marko are step brothers? Maybe they did the half brother thing like they did in animated series. As long as they dont make Professor X and Juggernaut total strangers I probably would be happy. Still Juggs was always one of my favorite villians because of his really cool backstory with Charles Xavier. I kind of assume they wont say anything about this connection like they totally ignore the connectio between Mystique, Rouge and Nightcrawler in X2. Dont spoil the movie answering those questions. If answering this question gives away some ploit point just answer with "wait and see" |

The professor I believe only was in 1 scene with juggernaut, and no they did not make any connection to it alot of people complain that there are so many differences from the x-movies and the comic, but marvel does that alot on their own. What i mean is, the comics are different from eachother, the comics are different from the cartoon, the movies are different as well, to see the same old thing would be boring. I love how they reinvented the dark pheonix, famke was incredible. The movie was very action packed, any visual effects and action lovers will go crazy over the movie. the story was decent but not drawn out because of the time factor ratner had with the movie, but thats ok because singer layed down the backgrounds and chararcter personalitys in the first two films wich had very little action, and ratner lets them kick ass in the 3rd movie. the film is definitly gonna be huge in the box office, Fox already confirmed there will in fact be an x-4 , despite their previous comments about thisbeing the last film, lol. basically with x-3 your either gonna love it for its awsome action and visual effects and appreciate it for what it is (( its got alot of humor in it too)), or your going to hate it because its so different from the comics. |

Im huge on content being true to the origins or atleast them making hints at true content. For example They dont have to say anything about Marko and Charles being connected. A simple stare down when they see each other or a snide comment would do it. I mean after all, juggernaut is a bad guy thanks to Charles (iirc). lol. |

Also juggernaut is a Mutant in the movie |

oh weird, but people have always generally looked at him as one anyway. Even though hes more "infused" with powers rather than being a "homo-superior" like a normal mutant. lol "normal mutant" |

In the comics he was never a mutant.. just got powers from that gem. Whatever I wasn't expecting this to follow the comics seeing as how they had the original 5 X-Men wrong in the first movie anyway (Iceman, Jean Gray, Beast, Angel and Cyclops). Juggernaut as a mutant is kinda lame, so is not saying anything about him being Xavier's stepbrother or w/e. They didn't put aside much time for backstory or much plot development for any character tbh... movie was mostly action. Fun movie but my least favorite of the 3 X-men movies. |

Acording to what everyone say on other board, Juggernaut had dormant mutant gene, and the gem just activate it. Was suposely said in one of the TV series. |

I always thought he got all his powers through the gem from a demi god like being. |

You should probably make a "family tree" type thing to organize that so everyone knows who is in which category correctly. That way you can analyze it more specifically! ![]() ![]() |

Who the hell takes the TV cartoon seriously as canon when the original medium (Comic) years before went out of its way to emphasize that Juggernaut was not a mutant lol. I just expected them to do that in the movie. |

I actually prefer the cartoon to the comic simply because im lazy and don't like flipping pages :p Aside from that . . dear holy god. . .X-3 made 107 million just in the US this opening weekend...(( not sure if its in the US or all NA, but I think my fandango.com shows US sales only)) for those who don't keep up with movie sales, that obliterates the memorial day weekend record by ALOT, and is the 3rd or 4th biggest opening weekend sale in the US -evar- , the ones that beat it-that i can remember are shrek 2, one of the star wars movies, and one of the spider man movies (( and btw x-1 made i think 58 mil opening weekend, and x-2 somewhere around 80 mil )) |
