story line: better than the first 2 by far, actualy had a story, and emotion.

setting: like the first one, it opened in Phoenix Arizona (my home town, yay) and quickley switched into tokyo japan

plot: main characters name was Sean Boswell. he was basicaly a screw up where ever he went, he moved around alot with his mother in order to avoid conviction. his mother had enough and sent him out of country to live with his father in tokyo. fist friend he made there was twinky (bow wow) and it all went up hill from there.

i love this movie, not because it had fast cars and asians, but because it was different. if anyone has seen initial D then you know what im talking about... no 10 second races, no NOS, and no bad actors. just up hill and down hill drifting.

the depiction of tokyo is acurate too, even down to the fashion sense. in some scenes i could tell what day of the week it was by the clothes they were wearing.

the only things that bugged me were the pronunciation of "Yakuza", the fact that they showed no emotion towards a wrecked car, and the apperance of diesel.

the soundtrack is simply amazing, HCC if your still here, this soundtrack is for you.

i saw this movie with my GF and she had to keep telling me to shut up because i could name all but 2 titles in the movie, everytime a song started, i would tell her the name of the artist and the name of the song.

if you liked the first 2 movies, then i WOULDNT recommend this one, unless your looking for change.

if you have any intrest in the modern japanese culture, or import cars, then i WOULD recomend you give this title a shot.

yeah, another thing, sean looks like hes some where around 19-22...

hes only 17 in the movie...

anotehr thing, if anyone has seen initial D, then you might recognize some of the scenes and the mountian.

some of the scenes were shot in the same locations, and the final race is down the same mountain.

i love my car to much to do what they do in the movie, they could care less because they have like 10 back ups in the garage.

plus i cant afford to go through 2 sets of tires a day just by spinning in circles.

go rent initial D the movie, not the anime. only thing i didnt like about that movie was the fact that no one had good teeth. but they did have "real" affordable cars, and all of the drifting was real.

I liked the first movie, and I like Formula D sometimes, so would I like this?

Prolly gonna go see it sometime anyways. And I'm guessing Vin Diesel plays the same guy from the first one? I figured they'd put him in another one since they showed what happened to whats-his-face in the second one.

Fucking despised the first movie (I didn't see it in theaters, trust me, I saw it at a friend's house) fucking laughed at the second one's name and moved on. Fucking laughed at the third one's name AND premise and moved on, lol.

vin is in one scene at the end of the movie for like 4 seconds, almost makes it look like there is going to be a fourth.

the supporting character in the third was asian, name was han. im not sure if that how you spell it. but he was pretty tight, really good actor, my favorite character, was a very mello character, no real worries, was always munching on snacks and reading books.

Check out this independant film "better luck tommorrow" Han(Sung Kang) is a totally different character in it lol. He was also named "Han" in another movie.

Anyways, for this movie it is obvious people dont' go see it for the plot&story. It is just as expected, it sucked. But otherwise, everything was pretty hot. The action and such. The exaggeration is good, its a movie afterall, no point comparing it to reality.

As for the soundtrack, I like that song by Teriyaki Boyz - Tokyo Drift. I think they are some japanese hiphop r&b group that has one black guy in it. The song itself is rapped in mix of japanese and english. Asian rappers are, blah, though... They need some black doods who knows japanese.

Let's see, I've heard Japanese rap, French rap, Mexican rap, Argentinian rap, and even Chicano rap...

Rap in any other than English is weird, either you hate it, or you grow to like it...

It's like cumbia or reggaeton in English...just doesn't seem right.

Music in other languages don't sound right at first, especially when it's something you're not used to.

I listen to Rock, Heavy-metal, Rap, Pop, and even some known Oldies in Spanish, and they sound fine to me; in fact, I'm quite fond of them. But I grew up in Mexico...

My cousin in the other hand, makes me shut that "shit" off, because she says it sounds 'wrong' in Spanish. She grew up in the US...

Humans hate change. D:

Well it all depends on whether or not you know the language, man.

The first time I saw the first Fast and the Furious movie I was over at a friend's house. Some time into the movie there was a female extra wearing a flesh colored top. Mistaking this for a topless woman I informed my friend by shouting "Holy shit, you can see that chick's boobs!" Then I remembered that his parents were sitting right next to us. Frowny face for Hale.
