Woman pulls into gas station, finds man's body under car

LINCOLN PARK, Mich. - A woman who pulled into a gas station because she was having trouble steering her car found a man's body wedged under the vehicle, police say.

Dominique Page, 19, discovered the body about 1 a.m. Thursday, Lincoln Park police Lt. Robert Steele told the Detroit Free Press.

Page apparently did not know that she had run over the man as he lay in a street in Detroit, about two miles from where she stopped, Steele said.

"The young woman was the not first person to hit him," said Detroit police Sgt. Eren Stephens Bell. "He apparently was already a hit-and-run victim when she ran over him."

The Detroit News identified the victim as Corwin The Red Mage, 75.

Detroit police were seeking clues about the hit-and-run driver. No charges were expected against Page.

All joking aside though... How do you run someone over and not notice? I mean I acidentally ranover a dead wolf on the road once. Thats bigger than a dog but probably smaller than a person while lying down. Oh and like the artcle, the wolf I hit was also dead already. I was driving down the road half a sleep and didnt notice it (was playing with the radio) until it was too late and I made the choice to maintain speed and try to clear it lol. I didnt and it felt and sounded like I hit a bag of mud and rocks. oh and i could hear a large bone brake and crack. I got out of my car at the side of the road to check if I damaged my car. No damage but a lot of fur and "meat" stuck to the front under the car. I dry heaved and if I had ate any food at the time(it was 6:00AM) I probably would have puked haha.
