i'm taking a light load this semester, only 14 credits. English 102 - Finally getting around to finishing this up. In class with a bunch of Arizona State Freshmen Sorority girls. one is Polish and I told her I loved her in her native tongue, she giggled. Class should be fine. Japanese 102 - I took 3 years of japanese in high school. And after 2 years of college and finally realizing I need 4 semesters of a language for my major I decided to do Japanese again. i originally signed up for 101 but they made me switch to 102 after testing me. Damn Final Fantasy for keeping me up on my Japanese haha. Philosophy 301, History of Ancient Philosophy - Yay!! This teacher is the fucking BOMB and I've read a lot of the greeks in other philosophy courses but I'm glad I'll finally get a more in-depth view of what they had to say. Philosophy 335, History of Ethics - Class is kinda new. Will be reading major ethical theories from Kant, Mill, some german guy, I dunno, it'll be good for me to take this class. I was actually trying to get into Advanced Symbolic Logic but like... it was full, so meh, whatever. [/b] |

Taking 18 hours this semester. I wanted 21, but because my grades haven't cleared from Austria yet my gpa ain't high enough. Freaking lazy austrian teachers need to get off their butt. I'm taking a lot of area studies this semester, exciting stuff! I also might get to graduate next fall, pleasepleaseplease! History of Asian Civilization- eh. taught my by one of my favorite professors. History of South East Asia- same professor. Economic Principles- economics for people who hate economics, kill me. Methods in Social Research- pretty neat. I get to do my very own research and a research paper. Going to be lots of work, but I look forward to it. Trying to figure out a topic, I'm thinking of doing something with the MMO community.. but not sure what to relate it to. any ideas? Japanese 3- Originally I wasn't scheduled for this, which would have set me back a year because of how they have the class set up. I went and cried to the department head today and after 20mins of yelling at me (because she had just been yelled at by the admin) she let me in. I guess she wanted to see how well I could put up with bullshit. People and culture of the East Pacific- Cool class, taught by a really crazy semi-famous anthropologist. She's a voodoo priestess. |

I got my timetable for Teacher's College the other night: I'm taking History, Dramatic Arts, Drama Strategies for Teaching, School and Society, Teacher Education Seminar, plus my practicum and three professional development workshops I've registered for: "Preparing for Your First Year of Teaching", "Assessment and Evaluation", and "Ontario Curriculum Unit Planner". Awesome! |

hmmm dont start for more than a month yet so I tried to look this up on the web thingy dingy but its being dumb and not working, so this will be a guess based on what i did last year Not sure how many hours it comes to because they often change it round based on how much time last years group had to recap at the end quantum mechanics continued electromagnetism maths measuring distances in astronomy maths computer programming, just simple stuff for doing numerical integration and that kind of shit more maths relativity and mechanics material physics (some friends did this in 1st year and said it was like being paint watching people dry) and some more maths. also planning to try and squeeze some italian classes in there for when I go next year |

Intro to World Religions - Study of religious culture...around the world. Cultural Biology Into to Philosophy Intro to Buisness World Civ I'm really looking forward to my buisness classes; heard the teacher was an incredibly cool guy. Otherwise I'm just happy the word "intro" is there on as much as possible. Still trying to figure out what I want to major in. |

Your guys and your Science courses.... I could never take physics, let alone Quantum Physics Edit: Wait, I'm dumb, is Quantum Physics what Einstein was about? Like it has more to do with theories than anything else? I remember it being like Metaphysics on the philosophy side, but Quantam Physics is the Scientifical approach to the same questions. If so that might actually be interesting |

Ok I'm a junior in High School but I'm going to be taking classes at the college. I'm in English 101 Math 101 or 2 (or something) Political Sci 111 Deutsch 3 (at the highschool) (note for hale: I was given the choice to take deutsch 5 but I couldn't schedule it. eat it babe) Anyways the reason I'm posting this is because I went to buy books today and frankly, I was shocked at how expensive they were. Books for the three college classes ran 250 bucks, and all but one was used. I know that there are sites with good deals on books. My question for you college alumni is where in the taco brunch can I find better deals? |

My question for you college alumni is where in the taco brunch can I find better deals? See, this is why I love physics. We have lots of textbooks too, but 95% of the course is covered pretty well by just one (well not the maths stuff) which the department buys for us to keep. Every year they spend around £7000 just on textbooks to give to students. The main library also has copies of all the fucking books you could ever want to read about physics, plus we have our own department library which has even more books/magazines/journals/dvds/ plus a really cool spiral staircase that we slide down. |

I FUCKING HATE MAYA sorry.. program related stress..... textures suck.. so do making subsurface scattering texture maps.. thats all I havn't touched Maya in like 4 years, but I remember absolutly loving it. when mixed with other programs I made some pretty awsome stuff. Maybe its changed :/ Rhino was awsome too, not as powerful but so simple to use. Anyway I'm not technically not in school or uni, but I'm in a Te Rao Maori class. |
