Post subject:  New Music

I usually don't buy CD's, but two new albums came out and caught my attention. The new BT album, This Binary Universe, is actually really really chill and really awesome. A lot of BT's stuff is more upbeat and poppy, but this album is super solid and much more low-key. I'm liking it a lot, it's probably gonna go on my list of homework music (which includes Broken Social Scene, Four Tet, Aphex Twin, etc).

I also just got the new Mars Volta cd today and I'm still listening through it. Deloused In the Comatorium might be my favorite album of all time, while Frances the Mute I've barely touched, I didn't like it very much. The new album, Amputechture, seems like a solid mix of both of the CD styles so far... and I'm liking it. Even though it's still pretty long-winded, it's more entertaining than Frances the Mute.

So yeah.... if you guys have more suggestions feel free to post them. This seems to be a good time for new music. Did anyone pick up the new Justin Timberlake CD? I fucking want it.

Mars Volta has the potential to be a lot better than they actually are. They must think that 10 minutes of weird noise in between their songs is "artsy" but it just gets boring. The music is good, but they should edit out all the fluff, and focus more on the actual song.

They call it "experimental" but it's really "retarded sound effects and guitar noodling". They aren't breaking new ground. It's just obnoxious

dude, get neon blonde, hell ill burn blood brothers, neon blonde, everytime i die, protest the hero, darkest hour, as i lay dieing, through the eyes of the dead, walls of jericho, job for a cowboy (local), dance club massacre, THROWDOWN, underoath, winter solstice, Young joc, The stilleto formal, sharkpunch, and poison the well..

thats enough hardcore/gangster music to keep you accupied for a while, and if you like fall of troy, im sure you will like ALL of these, sep maybe job for a cowboy, they are like a scene/goat sacraficing band, his scream sounds like a pig queal at some parts, but it makes for a good conversation peice, cause you cant tell if hes sucking in or just yelling, cause he always covers his mouth.

but anyway, ill give all of that to you on friday. and sande has to be home by 10-11 so she wont be with me, erick snapped his longboard yesterday and jeff has races, so its just gonna be me!
