http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/a ... _a_source= A lot of people are upset over it. Wondering what your opinions are. I for one see nothing wrong with this. If you feel negative towards it, please rationally explain why. |

It's just a bunch of shock jockies who made a film. Do I think they should be allowed to show it? Of course. Do I think it's worthwhile? No. It's sparking controversy for seemingly no reason by attempting to show images that are as shocking as possible. They're obviously attempting to pull whatever powers that be into some stupid First Amendment debate. So, yes, they should be able to do it. But the entire purpose is the create an unwanted controversy by saying "HEY! Look what I can do! I can SHOCK you! Now come and get me, hahaha! Neener neener!" and that's just retarded. I'm sure some dumbass will come in here and say "Bush deserves death!" or something, but honestly showing or wishing for the death of a president, whether you like him or not, just isn't right. |

From what I saw of the video I saw nothing really shocking. It's not like Bush is cut to pieces or anything. |

You're totally missing the point then. On two occasions, actually. 1) Showing a leader being murdered is most definately pushing the envelope, but it's not to make a constructive statement, it's to purposefully incite controversy. People can't seem to grasp the difference between pushing boundaries for constructive versus antagonistic reasons. 2) I don't know if you've been desensitized or lack common sense socially but the act of depicting a leader being killed is the "shocking" part. I don't know how you've convinced yourself that something is only shocking if it's graphic and extremely violent. You've lost me there. Here's the bottom line: if you're a filmmaker who has very little money to make a film, doing something like this is a sure-fire way to generate attention towards your film. That's the only reason. It's not a debate about artistic freedoms or freedoms of speech. It's about whether or not it's tasteful to try and create a film that will intentionally shock just to generate buzz. This is a stupid debate. |

A few weeks ago there were two freaky looking people standing outside some Christian youth group place at an intersection. They were holding up signs saying stuff like "Free the South Hill Rapist," "Littering Kicks Ass," "Beat Your Kids," and one of them was wearing a shirt saying "I killed Jesus." My friends and I drove by, stopped at the red light and asked them why they were doing it. The fat one replied "Shock and awe, my friends. Shock and awe." The woman quickly took the defensive and said "Hey, just because you don't have the balls to do it doesn't mean that we can't." As the light turned green, we threw our eggs that I neglected to mention earlier, and drove off. |

It makes sense, George is gonna make enough money to freeze his head and cryogenically come back to life in 30,000 years and rule again and I am disgusted because I wanna freeze my own head and play the cool games that are gonna be out then, but sadly I will be dust! |

i think its funny how there is a film called "The Queen" released recently which is also pushing the envelope in a British way, just by being the first time a film has been made about a current monarch/soveriegn/head of state, at the same time as this one about Dubya, but the queen doesnt die in ours. |
