I remember when...

it costs 10cents for the first minute 5 cents each additional minute at public phones
stamps were bumped up to 25 cents
jug drinks were a quarter and bazooka gum was 5 cents
comic books were like a dollar twenty
cigarettes were 2 dollars
gas was 75 cents a gallon
2 dollar sat. matinee movies
bridge tolls were 35 cents
cable was 12 bucks a month
water was free
it was 4 bucks to ride a train into the city
there was no blockbuster video
cable only had 37 channels and you could get the scambled porn by pushing down on 37 and 22
having to screw a uhf adapter into the back of my tv to play atari
benny hill played all night long on channel 9
rollerskate rinks >> "laces" (for reinheld)

hmm.... i'll post more as I think about them, what do you remember that makes you feel old?

omgz I remember that too
I remember when there were no cell phones and you had to be pretty well-to-do to have a pager and they were the size of vcrs.

Yeah I remember those days.. I also remember getting pissed when gas was to 99 cents a gallon in 1997 or so. That was long distance that was 10 cents a minute. I remember comics being $1 lol.. then Image changed that crap with their more expensive comics. Dark Horse comics were cheap though.

Dude, on DirecTV there's two Nick at Nite channels. And they both show the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air 10 minutes apart from each episode. So the episode will start on one channel, then 10 minutes later it'll start on the other one. Freakin' weird! Where's the god damn Wonder Years? That's real classic television!

comic books were weird.. they would raise incremently(sp?) like 10 cents every year, I think that might of been a big reason why I stopped colelcting.. come to think of it, I have no idea how I ever had money to spend on comic books...

Comics are fucking 3-4 bucks a pop nowadays. That's fucking nuts. It's like half the price if you just buy the graphic novel.

Yeah my mother's first Car phone was bigger than her damn purse. Cell phones were huge as fuck back then too. I fucking hated pagers/beepers so much.

David the Gnome is one of my earliest childhood memories. Along with that show about the castle with the dragon and the witch thing and stuff. And Weenerville.

The body changes too Jim...you just wait, you may just hit puberty yet :p

But seriously, when did my joints pop as much in the morning as they do now

When did The Weather Channel become better quality programming to me than MTV (don't answer)

Since when did I sleep as little as I do now?

and when did the slogan "I'll never do that again" become "I just can't drink like I used too."
