So looks like I'm the only one really focusing on cooking. seems like it doesn't really bring much to the table. I've been thinking of stopping at 40. what do you guys think? should I stop or continue leveling it up to 50. I like leveling up cooking but I don't know if it will ever be useful.

lol!

Might as well keep it going. People have a lot of gil right now. And people are willing to spend a lot of gil on stupid things. Enter Kitty.

You were selling those tuna miqo'bobs for like 4k a piece, right? People are buying food, it's just a matter of making the "useful" food. Stuff that makes fighters better fighters, mages better mages, tanks better tanks. That sort of stuff.

Should just keep a post up on Yarrslist called "Kitty's Grocery List" or something with current items that are drops/DoL only that you need to make some of the decent dishes.

Would be swell to have you make stuff for us to eat during NM fights and stuff, too. But we just gotta know what kind of odd food drops you want us to hold onto.

Really wish this game had a delivery box.

If you enjoy cooking, then you might as well stick with it. It's nice having a "go to" person in the LS for each craft. Food items are helpful and a lot of people seem to use them.

Actually I'm rather certain high cooking is VERY useful right now. It's just that the food mechanics are so mysterious we're not certain in what way... yet.

I really would like to see you as a our resident high level cook. Not to put pressure on you if you are getting bored of leveling it. But I think in short time we will rely on it.

Also, if they should simplify the food system or at least come out and explain it, there will be a huge boom in the market. A high demand for high level food which very very few people on the server can make - just think how lucrative it will be for your wallat!

You're in a very unique position Kitty. There are very few culinarians right now, and you have the potential to be very useful to a lot of people.

I think the keys to being a successful culinarian are in 1) Understanding the game mechanics and 2) Advertising your food

To understand the games mechanics all I can say is to check the link that Ket has provided:
http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com/rc/diary/top?cicuid=6441256

If you were able to make me Stuffed Cabbage and it really boosted my accuracy based on my dex and lightning matching it, I would be ready to pay you crap tons of gil.

And if you could advertise, hey I have a bunch of this cabbage, it can really boost your accuracy if you set DEX ~80 and Lightning ~60, and shout around Uldah to all the high levels, I guarantee you'll get lots and lots of buyers. The same goes for lower level accuracy food, too.

i also commend you on what seems to be the hardest craft to level. having to collect so many materials that are not particularly common.
