I knew I was right about getting out of this black hole as soon as possible, lol. When i logged in this morning there were so many people at the Limsa sheep camp you couldn't get one. I went back past Bearded Rock and there were so many standing there it crashed.

Gonna work on the main quest and then miner, now.

Fuck I fell asleep at 8 after I started the updater

After I installed in, my DVD drive died. Like, apparently the SATA connection on the motherboard is fried, I had to switch it to another one to get it working again, and had to unplug the cable to get my disc out. I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.

Your disc was stuck in a drive? You can shove a paperclip into that little tiny hole on the front of any cd drive and the tray will eject, even if it's got no power.

Btw, I think they nerfed Miner skill ups, I'm getting 150 per swing instead of 500-700 per swing.

Also everything is slightly more expensive now. I'd say about 20% more.

aw i was actually considering starting in limsa for blacksmith/armorer/marauder guilds... now i guess i'll reconsider if there's a chance other cities are less crowded

The server's felt fantastic when only 300 or so people were online. Now were back up to 700 and all of my terrible menu lag is coming back. It's making me sad

Don't forget to register all your codes.

Also take note that you have to actually "buy" a character slot as well, registering the game isn't enough to get you playing. You basically pay $9.99 for "Basic Service" and then 1 character slot for $3 brings it to the advertised $12.99.

Doing so will also immediately give you a "sign up discount" equal to whatever your first month is going to cost (your free month trial)

installing now. i'll just start in uldah. the monsters in the surrounding area are much easier to locate. i dont want to spend 5 minutes tracking down each wharf rat heh.

well i'm all setup, at character creation screen.
it takes like 45 minutes to setup, although the last 15 minutes was trying to get the security token to work. seems like it doesnt
