I'm very jealous!! I was unsure if I should spend another $25 just to play the game a week early, but the extras that come with the game helped my decision!

I probably won't drink from the tumbler.

I guess it's worth pointing out that the EU version I just got has different "extras" than the US collectors edition.

I don't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure the US doesn't get the Tumbler or the Map, but they get some kind of weird personalized character certificates instead. The DVD box art is also just a generic CG hume dude instead of my artwork one. (The box itself is still the Amano artwork though.)

The login screen is just a japanese "Maintenance" message right now. Wouldn't be surprised if they're prepping the servers though. I believe the service is scheduled to start at 1:00 GMT (2AM with daylight savings) on Wednesday. That's about 9AM in Japan, which is perfect timing for them to come in to work in the morning and hit the big "on" switch.

This means if anyone in the US is able to wangle their box out of Gamestop or something, the servers will be online around 9PM EDT 6PM PDT today.

ehh i probably won't even get the game til i'm off work tomorrow and by then it will be clogged with people downloading patches

Hah, you're right, I never even thought to check the config app. There's a tick box for Hardware mouse now and it's on by default. Doesn't seem to affect the patcher though, the mouse still sucks on that.

Well, I think I registered the payment options correctly for my two accounts. I couldn't really verify it, I suppose. I should be good to go, I hope.

And yah, NA CE is pretty crappy compared to the others. What am I supposed to do with that certificate? Frame it and take it to work?

Btw Yarr, I've seen people on two different forums now complain that their Amazon.ca Collectors Edition pre-order now says "Shipping September 27th". If you're using Amazon.ca I'd go check what it says.

The GameStop where I preordered it from (Mapleview) doesn't have it in yet, claiming some possible shipping problems.

That would blow if you paid $25 to play a week early..and it arrived late. I have the regular version pre-ordered on Amazon, but I am gonna look for the special edition in stores tomorrow. I'll cancel my pre-order if I find it.

Hey Ket, was the serial located in the manual in the dvd case like ffxi's was? Since I downloaded the torrent and installed the game already I'll probably just have my parents open the game and tell me the serial over the phone.

Well this is nice, i'm sat in a hotel about 4 hrs drive from home, my wife says "a parcel is waiting for me" and i'm not home till Friday!! and this wireless crap in the hotel sucks too so I cant try to dl it here... why do I have to get sent last minute to Manchester for some crappy training.

Ah well see everyone on Friday, leave some mobs for me!
