Our goal is to gather together friends from FFXI and play together in FFXIV. Right now all we have is some chit-chat back and forth across several threads on this forum.

What we need to do is list everyone who definitely wants to get in on the Cobra Kai Dojo LS in FFXIV. Once some more game details come out, we need to gather information on server selection, linkshell formation, and your characters (job, play schedule, contact info). It would be nice to have a new forum put together dedicated to FFXIV.

we get to choose a first and last name for our characters. should we have a common last name or just come up with our own stuff?

i was thinking either Whisp Ifrit (my name on several websites like allakhazam)

I'll likely be playing, Standard Edition though. which means I can find out where ya'll end up before I play. Definitely not gonna match my last name though that's what guild tags or fancy colored pearls next to my name are for.

Can't play until it's on PS3. How many letters/characters can each name have? Have to think ahead. Also, if any of you assholes take Deadlegend in any form well...I won't do anything but bitch and moan a lot, but just ask Tomake if that's really worth it.

Except NPCs, and Retainers, and everybody else that isn't a player, in fact. It's quite annoying that you can't choose to only have one name if you want (with the drawback that it's more likely to be taken, of course).

NPCs always call you by your full name too which is just weird, lol. You'd expect to only be called by your first name but they use your full name every time and it comes off as kinda creepy, lol.

PS: Have collectors edition pre-ordered with GAME UK's -1 Day delivery. (I can sometimes get a game one day early by pre-ordering with the release day service and then putting express delivery on the same order.) Servers probably wont even be up but it's worth a shot.
