One of my biggest fears about this game were horrendous framerates that plagued the cities and highly populated camps. My desktop system isnt horrible by any means. I have Windows 7 Premium 64bit 4GB RAM Intel Core 2 duo 2.4ghz (probably first gen, probably the oldest thing in there) ATI Radeon 5750 1gb (a decent mid range card) you guys know of any way to increase performance? one thing I have heard is that the game probably doesn't use all the ram thats available. I just bought this laptop http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6834114797 a really good deal at newegg...I'm expecting a lot better performance but I am still worried about the fps. Anyone know any windows tips to help the problem on my desktop? |

That one should work but may have to turn few things down to help. |

What resolution and settings are you running the game at? Turning them down a bit will help. Also do you have the latest drivers from ATI for that card? |

I used the default settings it came with the release. In the beta I had shit turned down and it still sucked a lot. The drivers I have are at least from August or Sept. Im at work right now so I cant check for sure but I think it was 1280 x 720. |

That sucks you are having so much problems with that processor and card. I have a similar processor with a similar card on order (Radeon 5770). I was hoping to play at normal settings with no lag. My current card is TERRIBLE and I can't even type without lag. Also NPCs take 5 minutes to pop in crowded areas in town. I have settings 100% turned down and running low resolution. It's practically unplayable for me. Newegg needs to hurry with my card. |

I dont know if 2 of these will run game in sli mode but it will work for sure so I bought these longtime ago for 200 each so I would sell 1 as 50 buck or both as 100. They are MSI NX8800 GT with Factory OC 512mb of DDR3. unless you go to store and get better one for about 100 buck or little over for 9800 or N200 or N400. you only need one card to do good work. lag will always be there depending on how many ppl in one area. |

thats cool I appreciate it. However, my current gfx card I don't think is the problem (its a mid-high range ATI radeon 5750, 1gb DDR3). I think its my processor. I don't think my 4gb of RAM is being used to its potential either. Ill fiddle with the settings tonight at let you all know. Besides, I got that lap-top coming soon. The Geforce 360M is apparently one of the best mobile cards out there right now (well at least when the laptop came out earlier this year..). With that and the i7 processor I should be banging...hopefully Thanks though really. should have it on monday! |

You could always try to overclock your processor a little bit if you're comfortable with that Tomake. |

overclock may cause shorter lifespan if I remember this only if too much. |
