Post subject:  Lodestone Achievements
New today. Log in to the Lodestone and click the new "History" tab on your character sheet (or on someone elses!) to list your achievements. I had a feeling they were tracking this stuff after seeing stuff like enemies killed appear in the log sometimes.

For the sake of showing off, here's my page 1 (of 4) as of today:

10/31/2010 1:30 a.m. - 5000 enemies defeated!
5000 fewer ferocious fiends roam the realm thanks to the diligent efforts of Ket Solais (Trabia).

10/30/2010 11:11 p.m. - Physical level 35 achieved!
Through rigorous training and raw determination, Ket Solais (Trabia) has finally achieved physical level 35.

10/30/2010 7:24 p.m. - Fogfens reached!
Ket Solais (Trabia) has attuned with the aetheryte in Fogfens.

10/30/2010 6:56 p.m. - Camp Revenant's Toll reached!
Ket Solais (Trabia) has attuned with the aetheryte in Camp Revenant's Toll.

10/30/2010 5:57 p.m. - Camp Bluefog reached!
Ket Solais (Trabia) has attuned with the aetheryte in Camp Bluefog.

10/29/2010 11:24 a.m. - Unalienable Rights complete!
Sheer wit and cunning has seen Ket Solais (Trabia) through to the completion of the quest, “Unalienable Rights.”

Oh god, do they do anything besides just being there for show? I don't really like achievements in games because I feel it cheapens them unless implemented correctly.

Do they have a way to view ones you don't have? If you can't see them it might not bad since you won't know what to look for.

I'm going to guess that's the Rank 30 Alchemy quest, because he hit Rank 30 Alchemy about 30 minutes prior.

But yes, what, indeed.

And nah Dmitry, not yet, as far as I can see, there's nowhere you can see what achievements are up for grabs. Actually I like achievements themselves because it gives you personal goals to strive towards. What I don't like is when there's an overall score suddenly put on top of it, with a leaderboard, that people will then try to whore (gamerscore) and ruin the whole point of the system.

Yeah that's the thing I don't like, and I can sort of understand because of the nature of achievements, but people that play just for achievements, or spend a lot money of games with "easy" achievements. I checked it out and yeah it just shows the ones you've gotten which is nice, and hopefully they don't bend and keep it that way.

I'll be pissed off if they put in a point system tied to these, but this is fine otherwise. Its a cool way to keep track of your progress.
