Hoping some of the more knowledgeable laptop users would be able to help answer this for me.

This laptop was on sale yesterday for $500, which seemed like a good deal for the laptop, and I was wondering if it might run 14 on low for times when I'm not able to play at home.

I made a post on BG and they said the Radeon HD 5470 wouldn't cut it, but I find that hard to believe. I don't know anything at all about laptop hardware or their GPUs, so I'm hoping Ket or Rid would see this and be able to help.

If anyone else plays on a laptop, your feedback would be awesome.

Its may work but I don't know if this ATI video card would work or not . even my lappy that was built in 2003 for FFXI that works but FFXIV was too laggy even with all setting turn down at lowest setting. Remember I been using vNidia video cards most of time so I know their specs.

I gave a laptop to Terathus that has similar specs and it runs xiv fine on minimum settings (it's a Lenovo T500). The only thing I'm not sure what video card that's in there, but I'll check with him and let you know.

Yeah, I'm 99% sure that thing has onboard Intel graphics. The laptop can run it 'okay' at minimum settings; it doesn't affect his game too much.

http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=4565 here is a link to the specs of the laptop I told you about. I have the version with the Radeon 3650 card. I think the one you linked should run it.

The only problem is I'm not sure how much of an upgrade the 5460 would be over a 3650. Still not sure exactly how AMD numbering scheme works exactly.

Oh well, if I catch another one on sale for a good deal I think I might go ahead and get it. If it can't run the game oh well. Thanks for your input guys.
