Good news all you anima guzzlers! All three cities are being reduced to cost only 3 anima to teleport to in addition to the previously announced 3 favorite "half price" destinations (which will be set for camps). Lodestone Link Quote: Alliteratively Announcing Additional Adjustments and Alterations (11/22/2010)
Anima Costs The anima cost incurred by the Return and Teleport commands has been halved. This reduction applies to teleportation to the aetheryte plaza within any of the three city-states, as well as to any aetheryte camp set as one of a player's Favored Destinations. Up to three camps may be saved as Favored Destinations. The cost of the Return command has also been halved, and now requires only one anima. * Aetheryte plazas within cities cannot be set as Favored Destinations. ![]() Guildleves The November version update will introduce an option that allows players to change the difficulty setting for levequests that are currently underway. This option will be available only with those levequests for which players were able to assign a difficulty level at the onset, and can only be used to lower the setting. Balancing adjustments have also been made to the strength of enemies targeted by levequests, and the minimap has been reworked to continue to display these enemies regardless of differences in elevation in relation to the player. Furthermore, changes to leve linking will result in larger skill and experience point awards, and give individual party members the option to participate in the link. With the December version update will come a number of new guildleves, including those that will provide players with the opportunity to face off against notorious monsters. Still more changes are in store for behests and the loot system. Details will be released in future Topics posts. |

I'm at work. By the way I had your Brass Plates while you were in Limsa the other day but you left without taking them. I was making them while you were in the Adventurer's guild, you should have been able to see my synth results, lol. Good news is it'll only cost 3 anima to pick them up in future! |

I rarely dropped below 90 anima and never dropped below 80. I was pretty conservative with it. I would always have 100 after this update haha. |

This is a nice change. Although I feel like Anima was alright once you got use to using it. Although I think someone who plays as casual as like whisp would probably have a hard time. |

I honestly think they've spoiled the players with anima and free on-the-fly whenever-you-want anywhere-you-want teleportation. The fact that so many people are always running around with 0 shows how people are over-using the privilege. They should have: - Implemented chocobos and airships from the start. - Implemented anima a bit later and made it relatively expensive, a luxury and for when you're in a hurry. As it stands now, once they finally implement chocobos and airships, who's gonna use them? We've bullyed SE into giving us basically-free teleportation. Going to all three cities in one day and back now costs 7 Anima (2x 3 + 1 Return) -- Which means you'll regen it faster than guildleves reset even if you teleport to every city for every 36-hour LQ cycle. I agree that the reduction of teleportation costs was necessary, however that was only because we had no other means of transportation. Now, every other form of transportation is obsolete before it's even implemented. |

Maybe they'll change the costs back after the add airships and chocobos. I agree that it does seem to make the world smaller. |
