That will be nice to have. I pronounced all zones in FFXI badly lol. I learned on vent that I was wrong with all of them. Same with things like Ifrit. I know it's supposed to sound like Ifreet...but I always pronounce it Ifr-it still. I've been doing it since I was a kid, so it's not going to change. |

Thanks, Whisp. I consolodated the database sites into their own section and cut out the redundant descriptions for them to save space. Still not sure what three of the links are/do, since I can't access them at work. |

You should add xivpads.com along with xivdb.com. It is a character db, wiki, general info all in one. |

I just noticed its already in the sites listed above, but its fantastic for tracking character progress. It will pull your info from the lodestone automatically and update. Ofcourse, you have to sign up with an account first and link it to your lodestone. You can easily look at completed quests, nm's you have killed or need to kill, charts for exp so you can get an idea of when you'll hit 50... all sorts of useful stuff. They actually started xivpads.com first and it developed more and more adding great features along the way, they only added xivdb.com towards the end of 1.0 and I'm glad they did... a site like that was really needed. |

So is xivpads actually a site for looking up how to get something like, some random Minion that I want to acquire. Or did the people who made xivpads just also make xivdb? I was using xivdb during the p4 beta. It was pretty useful. |

Yeah the xivpads people made xivdb after they had improved xivpads for over a year. It's not really like that (unless that minion is an achievement, or quest or something that it can track). At high level it's a way to track your progress through the game with an interface a hundred times better than lodestone. It's just parsing your lodestone information into a great interface. |

xivpads was like a fancy loadstone site. It parsed your character lodestone data over time and then presented it to you in a much more useful way. With levelling graphs, checklists for achievements and NMs, stuff like that. xivdb is made by the same guys, yeah. |

zam now owns xivpads & xivdb, they are all one big happy family, not separate databases. zam's database *is* xivdb they also have a feature called FFXIV-App http://ffxiv-app.com but i haven't looked into it much yet |
