Im going to start touching all the crystals and nodes. I also liked just running around when I was bored.

Does anyone have anything stupid and fun they like to do?

As weird as it is to say, I don't really get bored with the game. I have too much crap that I want to do, so I'm always bouncing around between it. And since I do so much bouncing, I tend to get less bored, since I'm not doing the same thing every day.

I don't know if it's a good thing, or a curse, though. Just too much to do.

Unlike most people claiming "they never get bored" - I actually do occasionally. It's not so much boredom as lacking the strive to do anything at a given moment. It's not like you don't have crafts to do, subjobs to level, mining to do. Sometimes you just don't feel like doing any of that crap.

Generally that's when I'll leave the game open and play something else on my second PC while glancing over at LS chat every so often. That way I can be ready to jump if something fun comes up (NMs) without having to feel like I'm just sitting there doing nothing. Having two powerful PCs on the same desk is great for that.

I've been looking to try out Magicka with people. It's kind of hard solo.

Well, Kitty and I tend to take a break from the game on Saturdays and do things IRL. So maybe that's part of why I haven't really gotten too bored yet. The opposite effects me, really.

I tend to get overwhelmed with the stuff I feel I need to do in this game.

I want to be a mage. I wouldn't mind being a primary healer for most NM fights. This means I need to get THM and CNJ up to cap and continue to rank up any new mage jobs that get released.

On top of that, mages use cloth armor, so I have worked to get WVR up to where I can repair all my gear. Then after that, the weapons I use require GLD, TAN and CRP to repair, so I've been working on that. Finally, I just wanted to ALC/FSH as a fun combo, since I enjoyed doing that in FFXI.

So basically THM, CNJ, WVR, GLD, TAN, CRP, ALC, FSH. Those are all my current projects. Not to mention all the other jobs I have needed to level as subs for some of the jobs listed, as well as gathering jobs.

So it can be very ovewhelming unless you can get away with just only caring about 1 or 2 jobs and that's it. Those are the folks that get bored more easily, I think.

But whether being bored is better than being overwhelmed... I dunno. Just depends. lol

ok maybe "bored" wasnt the best way to put it. I mean what do you do for fun in your downtime thats out of the norm.

Work on Macros and the UI...and I'm kind of with Ridere as I sometimes feel overwhelmed with stuff.
Once you level all jobs towards mid 20's its like damnit...more macros...more gear...less inventory ARG!
And now I got to seriously get my crafts up.
I explored a few places for sp camps too but it seems a lot of people stick to the same old because quite honestly it is probably more efficient at the moment. I'll kill my sylphs in a party one day...one day I tell ya!

When I'm really bored in game, I try to see if I can find botany nodes in scarcely treversed high level zones. Usually I just get killed by some long range mob attack.

I still haven't explored half of the areas in most zones. I do that and touch crystals when bored. I have acquired a lot of crystals lately from that.
