The image below is how I have my controller setup. It's only a suggestion as many will find others will do what is best for them. ~ Supa * I went with a wired controller to cut down on the the times the controller shuts off on a wireless one when I go afk.

I couldnt get my xbox360 contoller to work, I think its cause I dont have the right cable. |

Is yours a wireless controller? Cuz you can only use those with the wireless adapter, not the play and charge cable. |

You need an adapter for PC and the software for wireless controller. You need the wired controller and the software for wired. Also you need to go into SQUARE ENIX folder in start menu....Final Fantasy XIV Config to actually config your controller. |

yeah i dont want to buy a new controller, so now im using the ps3 controller. we have plenty of them laying around. |

I had so much trouble getting my PS3 controller working. I was having a lot of issues where it would drop out, and I couldn't reconnect it without closing the game. Haven't had any issues in a long time though. |

Ah, I'm actually have the same issue you had with my PS3 controller Dmitry. At first I thought it was dying but the controllers battery light was never blinking and closing out FFXIV to connect it back up each time is a hassle. Did you manage to resolve the issue completely? If so please let me know, thanks!

i have the same problem with the 360 wireless controller. if the controller shall go to sleep the game won't detect it once it comes online, although windows does. You have to restart 14. Followed the MS forums and everything they say should work doesn't. My first assumption is its a hardware issue with the controller but could it also be something about the game that isnt programmed for that? I'm not educated in how all that magic and pixy dust works. |

I just got the latest version of MotionInJoy and once I got everything working I didn't touch it again. lol The controllers stay on in that program though so no worry about them going to sleep. I would just have random trouble where it would just stop responding even though the controller was on. |
