This was posted by SE on the japanese section of the forum: Icon is smaller. All mobs now have an icon (non-aggro get a green one) and the level of the monster is written on the icon. A very welcome looking change. Anyone recognise what NM that is? |

I think they should just take the icon away completely. |

Devs said you will be able to toggle it off with a command. The reasoning for putting it in has something to do with upcoming instanced events. On the forums they stated that the plan was always to have a toggle off feature but it wasn't done in time, and they opted to just put the feature in sooner than later in case people found it helpful in the meantime. However, they didn't expect the massive backlash from it. Course would have helped that they would have mentioned their whole plan for a half completed feature when introducing it. Rather than, here's something intrusive no one asked for! |

One thing I like about this. You can test different weapons, spells, weaponskills, etc on mobs - but you won't have to wonder if the mobs are the same level. For example: I want to test different spears on different mobs. If I kill one cocktrice with banneret lance, and another with champions lance...it's hard to tell if the damage difference is caused by the weapon, or if one cockatrice was level 34 and the other was level 40. |
