Yup, those are Horsebirds Chocobos.



Note: This music is reportedly only the "rental" chocobo music. There is apparently different music for personal chocobos.

EDIT: After watching this a couple of times something just hit me. The company chocobos are noticably faster than rental chocobos. (Compare 0:24 to 0:50)

I'd also like to say that watching someone riding a chocobo around makes the game look a hell of a lot more like a Final Fantasy game than it ever did.

they look strange running with the camera aimed behind. Something is off about their legs but I can't quite put my finger on it.

We should all join Gridania so that we can have CKD themed snake chocobos heehee.

I do not think it was moving faster. This is a common thing with larger and smaller models. To move the same distance, a smaller model has to make more steps than a larger one. This make galkas "feel" like they move slower, and tarus feel like they run faster.

They might have something where you can train your chocobo for speed or something, like how other games have mounts with different speeds.

I don't like how you just appear on top of a chocobo after calling it, would be cooler if they ran up and you actually mounted them.

strongholds music is really well done, but its still a ton of just copy pasted models all over the place and doesn't look very visually interesting to me.

I was really hoping the chocobo theme which is already part of the soundtrack was going to be the personal bird music. I wonder if they could match the epicness of it.
