1. Let Corwin get on the top 20 board
2. Let Corwin spend 6+ hours leading the party
3. ???
4. Obtain seals

In other words, fuck you Spyder (2 seals) and Vuce (1 seal).

Why aren't seals automatically considered the loot of the person whom obtained the top 20 status as a courtesy?
It's sorta similar to me to the scenerio in XI wherein the dynamis host received the currency since they paid for everyone else to be able to do it, and participants got to roll on gear drops.

Some linkshells auto give first seal to the top 20, the problem is, most every anything done on the server is a party of ppl from all different linkshells, as the game is so inactive most linkshells can't even support a pt of 8 anymore. Technically the top 20 is already rewarded under se's system with crappy offhand tools and a 1% drop on bracelets. But yeah, I feel the pain of top 20ing to get shit.

When Ivth traded a seal to Vuce for the duckbills, I almost died laughing. Sorry Cor, you know i will go back with you if you need it, even though I have all 3 seals from Aleport, and you dont, and I do.

Like Ruby said, if this was mostly a LS run, I might've asked for one seal. But this was a complete pick up run. At most there were 3 CKD members in there. Its hard enough trying to get a full hamlet group as is. I feel I'd just discourage people from joining if I started demanding seals.

Also, getting top 20 isn't nearly as difficult as it used to be. I've seen Rank 2 hamlets where people were top 20 with 800 points. It tends to be the top 2 or 3 people that donate 1m+ in points, and 4-20 just do the bare minimum to stay on the board. Yesterday I was #19 with 10k points, about 120k gil worth of items.


I'm hoping to do quite a bit of hamlet this weekend though. Tomorrow is Grid, and I'm going to try and get top3, even if its rank2. Friday is LL again, and I'll probably try and get on the board (even though I have to leave for work at 11pm). Then Saturday is Uldah. Depending on how many items I have to use for Grid, I might try and get top 3 for Uldah as well.

I actually dumped way more than I needed to out of paranoia. Got #3 with 445k points, could've gotten it with 141k (just enough to beat Spyder).

anyone planning on doing hamlet tonight? which town is it? xivpads says golden bazaar, but i dunno if it's accurate. if you guys aren't doing hamlet i'll probably go mining or level my monk.

i've been crafting militia items for exp. i'm saving up about 300 of them to turn them all in at once probably next week, hopefully that will put me up in the top 20.

If you just want to get in the Top 20, you'll need probably around 20-50 items (1k each). Depends on the day.

They are doing hamlet tonight. It's a safe bet people will be farming hamlet every day possible for a couple more weeks, since everybody needs seals.

Seals will still drop tho right? Other than top 3 I mean. Still, DOW/DOM runs are a lot more interesting than the traditional ones.

Apparently they still drop but the chances are probably pretty low just because of the low score.

Did Hamlet with a group today that I'm not entirely sure understood that Rank 1 meant the highest score they could possibly get for a perfect run was probably around 32k. They were treating them like perfect rank 2 runs when really we ought to have been cheesing the dow/doh achievements and nuking the boss as fast as possible.

We didn't tip them off though because we needed to ride out three runs of no rewards from them.

It was slighty awkward because 3-4 of the people in the group were from the LS I knocked to the #4 spot (including their provisioner) in the last 30 seconds. Oops.

#3 and #4 provisioner were both standing at the quartermaster, but neither of them bothered to dump in the last few minutes like I did. Either they didn't have the points to dump, or they didn't think it was going to hit rank 2 so they didn't bother; it would have if they'd dumped though, it was only 800k or so off once I'd dumped my 700k. #3 and #4 were both around 100-200k.

Thanks Cor/Ruby for coming along and doing a boring three runs of Hamlet for basically no chance of reward whatsoever.

Oh, and thanks Spy for yelling into LS chat like crazy that I should dump like the world was going to end. I probably wouldn't have done it if you didn't.

7/9 Seals! Just need 2 more from Hyrstmill. Can probably just do Top 20 from now on.
