I've had success making +1 stuff by using the following: Starting off with all +1 ingredients seems to give 500 quality, or 7% chance for +1 Piece by Piece (45 ARM) +30 Progress, +0 Quality, -0 Durability By the Book (45 GLD) +30 Progress, +0 Quality, -0 Durability so now I'm at 60% Progress and 100% Durability Byregot's Blessing (45 CRP) Next 3 synths have double Quality, but don't use Careful yet Perfection (36 CRP) Next careful synth has great success Careful synth x3, I usually end up around 35% chance for +1 with about 75% Progress and 75% Durability left Greater Calling (45 BSM) Next 3 synths succeed Careful synth x3 or more, based on how low Durability is Finish with Standard synth if necessary This usually gets me to about 60% chance for +1 Does anyone have a better way? A way to make better use of Byregot's without blowing up your synth? Thanks |

I do radically different things depending on the level of the recipe, (if its those lv54 or w/e synths or not). Id have to be in game to even check stuff tho |

Personally I prefer to leave the "progress" abilities until last. It depends on the level of the synth, but if you jump to 60% before you even start using Careful Synth, it's possible you'll hit 100% while you still have some durability left, effectively wasting your chance at some extra quality. By leaving Piece by Piece and By The Book until last, you might get to 50%+ before you run low on durability (unless the synth is really high or unstable you shouldn't lose more than 10 per turn) and need to use them to finish the synth. Also, I'm quite a fan of the abilities that give you extra free durability. I think alchemist has the +30 one, so you can start your synth with 130 durability instead of 100, giving you at least three extra Carefuls. I think I've read that if the level of the synth is lower, people like to stack three singles on top of Byregot's Blessing (one on each turn) for a much much bigger boost of quality, but less spare abilities to help you with durability/progress, so you'll need to risk some standards. |

I do that for higher level recipes actually ket. Tbh i thought about writing up what i do for hq when i get home from work but then remembered it wont even matter in about two weeks so I'll go to the bar instead lol |

Fuck you Ruby, princess pudding calls you! What I do is Careful until I get flashing colors > Byregots+Purification+ Careful > Perfection+Careful > Culmination+Careful> Carefuls until 10 or less durability > Greater Calling+Rapidx3. I usually get 400-600 quality that way, depending on the difficulty of the synth. |

really? i gotta try that. greater calling + standard x3 i thought knocks me down about 25ish durability. so i assumed rapid, which usually hurts durability even more, would be a lot. is it a glitch? |

Rapid costs no durability if it succeeds, but more risky. Thats why you pair it with a success ability |

Yeah they changed how Rapid works a little while back Whisp, because it was kinda useless before, any time you might have used Rapid you'd probably have just been Hasty Handing the whole synth. I think they changed it around the same time they renamed Bold -> Careful. Rapid now uses 0 durability if it succeeds, but loses a lot of durability if it fails. It's useful as an "oh shit last chance" to finish a synth you know you can't possibly otherwise finish (e.g. Progress 90% Durability 4). Because Greater Calling guarantees your next three actions succeed, you can Rapid x3 for 0 durability loss. |
