So I pre-ordered at Best Buy, but they know nothing of the presale promo code. Is it only for web preorders? Best Buy is listed on their site for North American Retailers. Last time I checked Canada was in that general area. |

Id=1089212 it says "Pre-order the game and receive early access to gameplay, as well as a Cait Sith Doll Minion pet and Mog Cap digital in-game content" so if they pretend not to know about it, just keep trying. ask for their manager or call 1-888-best-buy or whatever it is |

With game stop its on the receipt but only if you pay for the game and not just the pre order charge. Maybe its the same here too. |

If you pre-ordered it in a retail store, you have to make sure they print it on your receipt. If you pre-ordered it online, you should have gotten an e-mail. Not every store sent the e-mails out right away though. It's worth checking your junk mail, but if you don't have it, contact them. |

I ordered from the S-E store, and I'm still not sure I have the correct early-access code from 'em. The only one I have so far is the one that originally came with it, which is the pre-order bonus code, I beleive. 18 character one. |

The pre-order code looks like: XXXXXX-000-XXXXXX-000 To play on PS3 via digital download (including early access), you also need a PSN store code. Presumably you'll get this when you enter your pre-order code onto the pre-order site. Pre-order code site is meant to go live on August 20th, according to the current error message if you go through the account system. There was also a notice from the devs today/yesterday explaining that SE are launching something called "Mog Station" in the next few days, which will be the new one-stop shop for Final Fantasy XIV accounts, registering your pre-order codes, paying for your subscription, applying for world transfers, etc. Presumably, that's what we're getting on August 20th. |

Ket, I have that 18-digit thing, yah. If that's what I need to attach to my account to get into early access, then I'm all set. (Aside from the whole attaching it part :P) I was under the impression that was just for the in-game items. haha. I already got the P4 beta client installed on my PS3, as I got an e-mail about it yesterday. But it was to an e-mail address that isn't associated with my purchase of the game. Just a different e-mail address I applied for the PS3 beta on a few weeks ago. |

You should get a hold of them and ask for it, or at least ask if you're meant to get it later. Don't forget that pre-order code gets you more than just early access. You get yourself a Mog Cap!  According to the main site, the pre-order codes expire on December 31st. So in the event your retailer simply doesn't give you the code before shipping the game, you'd still get time to enter it. |

I got mine from the EB in Mapleview and same deal Yarr. They are completely clueless and the receipt has nothing. They said they'd call me when the codes came in... |

Preorder codes at Gamestop work like this: The manager gets an envelope (or it's thrown in a box full of merchandise) with a ton of codes in a shrink wrapped container, with a letter saying to give them out with preorders. Whatever happens to those codes are up to the individual manager, there's no guarantee they will go anywhere. Yarr, why not just do digital preorder to get the code? |

Amazon is sending out their preorder codes today and tomorrow. I'm glad I preordered the PS3 edition a while ago, I saw those prices today....crazy. I hate greedy vendors on Amazon who jack up prices like that. |

I did the digital Collector's, and I recall hearing you can always upgrade your account as well. So if you don't care about the physical stuff, you should always have that option. The physical CE is pretty neat looking though. I just can't justify another CE after doing it for every WoW edition, The Old Republic, and D3. |

I kept putting off order the PS3 CE, now I cant find one, so I ordered the regular version on amazon. The pre order code came right after the order confirmation. I will eventually get the PS3 CE, and ARR PC CE to go next to my unopened 1.0 CE I picked up on amazon for 19.99 when people hated the game. |
