Overwhelmed? Not sure of what the hell to do? Here's a list of all the stuff you need to unlock in 2.1 and where to get the ball rolling. Most of the quests are multi-part affairs, but this is where you get them started.

I think this is everything, if I missed something or you think of something else to add here just post so and I'll update it. I got the starting NPC locations using the patch notes, and as we know those patch notes are riddled with hundreds of copy/paste errors, so sorry if any of these are wrong. Again, let me know and I'll fix it.

Needs confirmation, but so far I've seen on reddit that:

- Christmas event has started. Snowman outfits. Christmas themed chocobo barding.
- Nightmare (the black unicorn with the horn of flames) Whistle is a drop from Garuda Extreme.
- Bluebird (yes, the bluebird minion) is a random prize from treasure hunting chests.
- Tier IV materia is now MUCH more common. Around 40% from i55 gear. Can also obtain from i45.

Yes the event started. It's on the lodestone. I may have or have not been up at 3 am doing pvp when it was announced that it started...

I saw the black unicorn on Reddit, it looks badass.

I'm glad the Reindeer outfit wasn't re-released. It's nice for the legacy players to have something slightly more unique.

just fyi the seasonal fates are bugged ( seemingly) much like the CT fates. in that they never fucking spawn. I'd wait for the hotfix to try and do them.

I'm sure something very similar will come soon enough. I'm not very happy about the new goobbue mounts; not that I'm particularly fond of mine to begin with, but just because it was something for the legacy players.

Just read that other post. Is nothing sacred?! Oh well.

Also nightmare mount drops from Garuda.
