Lots of stuff for a "minor" patch. Although it's not really more content, I hope they do this kind of patch more often. Waiting 3-4 months for 2.1 sucked. Here's some things I felt like copy/pasting:

A few things for the PvPers (Just some, not everything):

Quote:
The following balance adjustments apply only to the Wolves' Den:
  • Arcanist and Summoner can no longer use the spell Resurrection.
  • The status effect Disease no longer inflicts the heavy effect.
  • [Paraphrased: You cannot queue for PvP with 2 ranged DPS or 2 melee DPS. You must take 1 ranged and 1 melee.]
  • [Paraphrased: Players who queue solo, duo, or in a full group of four (i.e. everybody but 3-man) now earn more Wolf Marks, even if you lose.]
  • [Paraphrased: "The Fury's Anthem" (PvP skill reset) cost: 4,950 → 1,485]
  • Fixed: "An issue wherein melee attacks did not hit jumping targets in the Wolves' Den."

This one applies to PvE and PvP:

Quote:
  • The "decrease HP recovery via curing magic" additional effect of Storm's Eye has been reduced in potency from 50% to 20%.
  • The "decrease HP recovery via curing magic" additional effect of Miasma and Miasma II has been reduced from 50% to 20%.

For anybody who ever wanted to rush and grab an Unspoiled Node:

Quote:
The following changes have been made to gathering points (GP).
  • Players will now also accumulate GP when playing as a Disciple of War, Magic, the Hand.
  • GP will no longer reset when changing to a non-gathering class.

Why this was even possible is beyond me:

Quote:
To prevent abuse of Vote Dismiss when casting lots on items, the Vote Dismiss function can no longer be used when an item is in the loot pool.

No more Sastasha every day:

Quote:
Duty Roulette: Low Level has been adjusted to improve matching for mid-level dungeons.

Party can vote to abandon a duty, allowing everyone to leave without penalty:

Quote:
The Vote Abandon function has been added, making it possible to abandon a duty without penalty [...]

Costs 14k GC seals:

Quote:
Players can now place a miniature aetheryte in the garden of their estate.

Image

Once a miniature aetheryte has been set, Estate will be added to your list of teleport locations.
* Although the miniature aetheryte cannot be set as a favored destination, the cost of teleportation will be the same as that of favored destinations.

Hopefully there'll be less Warriors falling off of Titan's arena:

Quote:
An issue wherein Warriors could be knocked back even while under the effect of Holmgang.

Acheron furniture? More like Archeron furniture.

Quote:
On rare occasions, a fourth treasure chest may appear upon defeating the last boss of the Labyrinth of the Ancients. This fourth treasure contains a Dimension Blade fragment that can be used to create the Savage Arc of Triumph furnishing.

Image

Should this fourth treasure chest appear, all members of the alliance are allowed to cast lots.
* Players can only obtain one Dimension Blade fragment per week.

Apparently the Japanese update notes actually say that the Dimension Blade fragment counts towards your normal weekly CT loot lockout.

the arch looks ugly lol. Smn got nerfed in pvp it seems a lot. Overall, a lot of these things were all kinda bad thing for players. :(

Oh not mentioned in these patch notes is that the new collaboration events should have also started. That being the Dragon Quest and FFXI ones.

Go forth and acquire Shantotto minions. I've also read that the final cutscene in the dragon quest questline is really good.

Oh man... I was hoping for more nerfs on SMN in PVP. That's a good start, but their burst DPS output is still going to be insane at the start. If you aren't dumb and have a good healer you can get out of it fairly easily though. Much more easily now that miasma won't heavy, so maybe that really will even things out.

It's awesome to see that some of the "good" 3 man teams can no longer abuse SMN/SMN or SMN/BLM, but most of the good 3 mans are Healer/DPS/Tank.... so... yeah.

Holy shit, I read that SMN can't raise anymore before reading that it was PVP only. I was about to lose it.

I know there aren't a ton of monsters out there that self-heal, but it really irks me to see a PvE SMN nerf, based around PvP usage. I really hope that doesn't become more of a trend.

Looking forward to doing the new events. The DQ one way more than the shantoto one, however. haha. The shantoto minion seems cheesy, but I'd love to have a mini golem!

My TP and general laziness approve RoD's new status effect though haha. I still want my full buffs back...

As for the SMN/WAR nerf... I think those are good for PVE too. 50% is a really high number and probably should have never been that high.

It probably still is decent, or at least viable, Kio. But I guess Krel, Ath and them could better answer that after a few more hours of 2.15 testing.

I still need to start doing PvP. Glad I can solo queue and get more points for losing, since I'm only rank 4 and don't have i70 pvp gear.

Exactly why I made it bold and red, I knew somebody somewhere was going to lose their shit by skimming it too fast.

That's a funny saying when you think about how in the world someone came up with it.

"I know I left it here somewhere...."

Getting the Dimensional Blade item in CT does count towards your weekly loot. Just FYI.

So don't go grinding CT for it, if you already got something this week.
