Network lag isn't a problem. (A 56k connection can handle an R value of about 3500 before it starts to choke.)

What matters is your frame rate. With about 30+ people, as well as mobs, around you at all times, its worse than the Kazham zoneline on a saturday morning. Generally you will notice on screenshots that people have shadows turned off, resolution down, max people on screen turned down, and pretty much everything in the chat log filtered. If you don't you will just have problems even firing off your macros. ><

the screen shot you see there has a high R: for a few reasons.

1) Mega boss means you have 64 people all using their 2h at once.

2) someone trained a massive 50+ mob train to the entrance right by us

3) dynamis is always laggy but the boss fights are even more laggy.

At least you weren't hit by the too-many-mobs bug, like in Jeuno. It's impossible to do Dynamis when you can't see anything.

Damn. Sorry Yarr and Reinheld for missing out on that raid, i feel for you all. And grats to all who did participate/got AF's. I hope that wont happen to you all in the future, especially since everything was organized by you.

Yarr, I see Dino, you guys used to do Dynamis with the Greed?

I had no problem what so ever sitting out. Yummy did an awesome job handling most the stuff while i wasnt there. I also went on tals comptuer to check out everything.

I really feel bad for Znake and Reinheld. Ive been to Dynamis windurst a few times already so its no big deal.
Although I reallly want to get the full AF2 set for WHM I know this wont be the last chance for myself to do dynamis windurst. I really want AF2 boots to replace my current Errant boots...
Reinheld put in alot of work before the raid. He organized both assault alliances! for a good hour before the raid he was there organizing people into groups. Znake has also been to 90% of the raids and has been a big supporter of the Dynamis raids.

Yeah Pix that's the pearl I dropped the other day, for reasons I think everyone knows :P Not sure if Yarr has dropped his yet, though.

Apparently, once you trade your hourglass, your character is flagged as having Dynamis clearance, and your spot within the zone becomes reserved. There are times when you must leave the zone (Warp out, HP out, or just plain old LD) and it's designed like that so your spot isn't taken when you get back.

We did do some tests, got some people to drop hourglasses, drop extras they had in inventory etc, but it didn't make a difference.

Not being able to get in is one thing, but getting booted out during the raid itself would piss you off even more.

Sorry I had to go but my stomach was killing me. Think I ate something I shouldn't have a couple days ago and wasn't feeling too good since. Yesterday it just got to the point where I just couldn't focus on the game and had to log. Tried to give Rein my spot but it didn't work :\
