I dont mind snapping lines on stacked bait, just as long as the pole doesnt snap often. Only thing that will break the carbon with crayfish is rusty, and those are rare on the boat.

This is why I am thinking to continue my Lu Shangs. I only have 200ish turned in and all caught by myself + a few rip off from the newbies who asked me to fix their carbon rod but no money to pay for the light crystal (I didn't even charge for service). I told them 2 moat carps per fix :P It's not a rip off anymore consider light crystal price went sky high.

PS: hmm I just got an idea. I always get requests from people offering money to help them get xyz. Maybe I should start asking them for moat carps instead~ (I've never once accept a payment for anything I helped even though they offered)

It's a long hard quest, esp now with the crappy moat carp bite rate, but if you can buy the carp, or get the carp as tips from helping people out, go for it

Keep in mind though, to get the most out of your Shang's you'll really want 73+ Woodworking to repair it, so you can fish the big game on the boat. And with your other crafting skills so high, that's not possible

I'm headed to the boat now to help a friend out, he wants me to break fishing rods so he can repair them for woodworking. I'm going to try carbon+crayfish and see if it's that bad.. One thing I do know though, higher your fishing skill less rod/line snaps, so that might help me out.

i really need a shang rod to skill up my woodworking to 80 dunno why you didn't do that before you sold yours spork lol. No matter how i try to get a shang rod, it's gonna take forever. I can fish 20-25k an hour off of rusty caps in rabao, then i could use that gil to buy stacks of moat carp, but there are never any in stock. It would take about 140 hours of fishing rusty caps before i could buy a shang rod off the the AH ><><><>< for 3.5mill. I was checking prices for woodworking though, and skilling up to 80 would cost me just about the same, maybe a bit less if i sold everything. Imo, probably just a better idea to save up and buy the shang rod, get woodworking skill and an awesome fishing rod at the same time need to get bst to 40 for the 3 man BCNMs >< 200k every 2 hours off of those!! weeee

You know.. I been thinkin, and theoreticly I could sell my account on ebay, buy more gil than I'm currently worth, pay someone to powerLV me have a LV100 craft~ and still be sitin on like hundreds of thousands of gil.. probbly.

Haha, yeah right.. no way I'm wasting 3 more months of my life unless I'm selling the account for good, and need the money.
