they told me it was bronchitis and gave me antibiotics. I been taking them, sleeping as much as I can, getting plenty of foods and liquids, AND taking extra strength tylenol. But, nothing seems to be helping. /sigh I really don't want to miss another day of work to sit in the er all day |

It's strange because I have an insanely good imune system (deep cuts heal in 3 days, common colds go away in 3 days, when i cut my hair or nails they grow back in like 2 days) so the fact that I can't get rid of this has really got me worried, I'm pissed the dr in the er didn't even take blood or anything, I mean: fever, swollen glands, nausea, shakes, cold sweats, extreme fatigue, headaches, dizziness, muscle aches can be warning signs of anything including pnumonia, mono, and cancer. It was ignorant of him to just shine a light in my eyes, ears, and throat, listen to my heart and lungs, and send me on my merry way. At least I got a chest x-ray but I still think I could've benefitted from a blood test or 2, I don't know why I didn't say anything at the time, I guess I wanted to believe it was just the flu ; ; |

my friend said the same thing he's been diagnosed with it like 3 times which is fucking crazy cuz I thought you could only get it once in your life. I have never been diagnosed with it and based on everything I've heard about it, I can say with certainty that I've probably never had it. However, I can't think of anyone within the last month that I was sharing a drink, a blunt, kissing, or exchanging any kind of saliva with that claimed to have had it or seemed even remotely sick. |

ive had mono twice, and i dunno how i got it. if you have mono jim, i really feel for you, go get a blood test and they can tell you right there, but it doesnt matter, there just going to tell you to sleep it off. i remember having mono, i lost a good 10 pounds in a week+, i couldnt keep anything down, id eat a bowl of soup, go back to bed, and before i could close my eyes i would throw it all up again. |

i had Mono last october and that really sucked. I've been sick for almost 2 weeks now with something I THINK/HOPE is Labyrinthitis. I've been dizzy/had vertigo for almost 2 weeks and for a little over a week my ears have been ringing. I don't have a fever.... but trust me... I'd take a 102 fever over this shit. |

Me too Denchi. [October of '06] I got tested for strep throat twice and both results were negative. Then they wanted to take blood test and it was mono. The crazy thing is that mono has an incubation period of up to 72 days, so even if you got "the kissing disease" from kissing someone, it could've been ages ago. But, in all honesty, there are a ton of other ways to get it .. someone coughs on/near you, etc etc. Sleep a lot, play lots of ffxi. you'll feel better soon :D |

Haven't had a cold or anything like that for about 2y now, after i started sneezing and not holding the sneeze in, i havent gotten any viruses, but that's just a hypothesis... Maybe its because i eat good 'n stuff... But i have major digestive problems sometimes, this weekend (sat) completed 5 days i hadnt gone to the bathroom for #2, so i had to take some prunes and water to wash out my intestine. It happens once every few months and its horrible (constipation kinda?). I eat a lot of food and to get it all stuck in, is bad bad bad. |

lol XD when i had mono i was out of school for about two weeks & felt relativley bad the third week, but was back in class. i got out of first period P.E. for one month though, which was kinda nice :D feel better, jim |

lol its been a while since i was sick to, and i kinda stick to Dead's method, but my other method, is every time in the past 7 years ive had a cold, i skipped the doc and the antibiotics, and i just slept with my Vicks Vapor rub, now its been atleast 3 years since ive been sick, i still get the hints of a cold when the weather changes because thats when i used to get my strep or bronchitis, but it goes away on its own really fast now. |
