I don't mean to brag, honestly, but I thought this screenshot below was pretty cool. I've had this like a week or two now so I can properly comment on this stuff that people are constantly asking me.
People are always constantly sending me tells asking "how good" this Mantle is. I was getting tells about it in Dynamis asking me how often it goes off. Usually I just reply "About 10%" because that's how often it seems to go off on average, but it's hard to illustrate it really. So, here's some stuff.
I took it out to Crawlers nest, filtered everything from my log except damage taken, and aggroed a bunch of worker crawlers and tanked them for a while at the zoneline. I thought I had a screenshot of it somewhere but I can't find it. But when I went through the log, the proc rate was pretty much all over the place, sometimes it went off like 3 times in 5 hits, and one time it took 36 hits before I nulled one.
I totalled it all up at the end though, and it was procing every 10 or so hits on average, which would make it roughly 10%. Occasionally you get some fancy luck this:
And I have plenty shots like this one below of stuff in Dynamis critical hitting me for 0 damage, but they all look the same really.
And question I see crop up the most: Is it any better than the +80HP from Gigant Mantle? Well just look at the screenshot where I nullified about 500HP in damage, lol.
It won't always work like that however, but if you imagine it blocks 10% of all damage you take, it's like +10% HP, which would be about +160HP, twice as much as a Gigant Mantle.
I'm pretty sure it's as least as good as a Defending Ring, if only a bit more inconsistent. Let's not forget the +20 VIT on Darksday either.
