I signed my life away last night. Or at least the next 30 years of it. I have to wait for the seller to sign one last piece of paper, as well as wait the required 24 hours for everything to post with the gub'mint, but I suppose I can call myself a home owner.

I'll have the rental for another 3 more weeks, so I'll have time to leisurely move over to the new place, huzzah.

None of those pictures are my stuff. That's just the stuff from the previous owner. haha. I'm getting all new appliances and furniture.

Yah, was pricing appliances last night. I have to get a fridge, washer and dryer. The dishwasher is "stainless steel color", but actually plastic. I want to go all stainless steel appliances, but will have to wait before I replace the ones already in the house.

Too much crap to buy, like furniture and stuff.

And for the record, I think I'll put a TV right where it is in the picture, and then just have two lazy boys in that room with full on surround sound. It'll kick ass. haha

Ridere just get only thing you need then you can upgrade them later as you go. Just don't over pay something that you can't keep up with your bills. Also save money for backups you never you know what can happen.

Not sure why I never said congrats before but, congrats! Funny that I actually saw this thread by accident (was looking for the "Favorite Game Music" thread if it even exists -- might be a figment of my imagination) and Pam and I are set to close on a house at the end of the month. Definitely a stressful experience at times, lol

I got scared for a second, thinking I had a 2nd mortgage :D

Congrats, though! I bought a short sale, so from the time they accepted my offer, to the time I got the keys, was a good 4 months. Took forever! But I was quite picky even before then, since I knew I'd be stuck in the house for a good 10 years before I could realistically sell it for any good amount of profit, since the market had tanked.

Thankfully my house is estimated at a good 50k more than I owe on it, and it's only been a year and a half, so that's pretty awesome.

Market in AZ is booming. I bought my house exactly a year ago, right when it was starting. They have been going up like crazy....and getting harder to buy. I had so many dickheads counter my offers when I was looking and knock me out of houses I really wanted. I guess the low interest rates are driving people mad haha.

That's awesome your house is worth 50k more than you owe. Very good.

I had 2 houses that I really wanted, this same thing happened on both. I put in an offer, and later that day they said "we accepted another offer, go fuck yourself". They wouldn't even let me re-counter. Somebody offered more, and they just went with that person. But on the flipside that happened with my house. People were trying to counter my offer and get it, but I was already accepted.
